Gosh this is exciting! I knew everybody's making Blu-Ray / DVD pre-orders just before the movie's in theaters!
Here's a scene from "Spaceballs" just to prove it!

The Uk season sets from fabulous films are great! But the discs themselves are a mess! scratched dirty and with scuff marks right out of the shrink wrap! I've even bought 2 season 1 and 2 sets and they have all been a mess! Only one player in the house will read all the discs. Am I the only one with this problem?

Smurfing Smurf, first of all, welcome to Bluebuddies! And second, no, you're not the only one. I went through three copies of Season 1 and two copies of Season 2 and all of them had some damage to them. They all came with discs loose inside the shrink-wrapped package so at least one was scratched, and in two of my Season 1 sets, Discs 1 and 4 eventually picked up "DVD rot", a partly cloudy, partly sticky residue substance that I feared could damage my player if I dared to put them inside. Finally I gave up on them and imported the two Ultimate Collection sets from Australia. Despite their hefty price tags, it was money well spent for both of them.

The Smurfs World Cup Carnival (Release Date: June 23, 2014)
The Smurfs: World Cup Carnival includes 5 footy/jungle themed episodes.
Episode Smurfopsis:
The Dark-ness Monster – The Smurfs hold their annual smurfball playoffs. Brainy is not happy about forming a team with Clumsy because of his clumsiness. But when Brainy loses his glasses, Clumsy has to come to his rescue. Will this experience change Brainy for good?
The Gargoyle of Quarrel Castle – In Quarrel Castle you almost never hear a kind word. Selwyn the warlock and his witch-mate Tallulah’s quarrelling causes their pet gargoyle Tharp to take refuge in the village of Smurfs. He wants to play smurfball with his newfound friends, but the smurfball he brings with him is a very dangerous one.
Love Those Smurfs – The Smurfs’ smurfball game is suddenly interrupted when a wicked sorceress casts a spell on the Smurfs, forcing them to love themselves and not each other. Vanity, who’s always like that anyway needs to break the spell.
Small Minded Smurfs – In the depth of the rainforest, the Smurfs meet with a headhunter who shrinks their cranium and changes them into pinhead idiots. Clumsy is able to escape and matters come to a head.
Jungle Jitterbug – The rainforest of South America is not a place where Vanity Smurf would like to spend his life, yet he starts dancing madly when he gets jungle fever. His dance has strange results.

Why does the WB continue to waste their efforts peddling the wrong stuff for Smurf fans? We already had Season 1 on disc sets years ago, yet they still won't do the whole show any justice. This is just pathetic. Two words: SEASON SETS!!!

Well, season 1 did get re-released last year on a 3 disc set as part of the Hanna-Barberra Diamond Collection. I really hope they do the same with other seasons.

Hello, first time user here. I have the US release of season 1 vol 1 and season 1 vol 2 of smurfs. Now the Diamond Collection first season has come into my possession. As one who has gone through the mess of Turtles and Jem I have no wish to waste my money on something that is only going to copy what I already have. So before I open it, I've been hunting around to see if anyone can tell me the differences between the two sets?
Is it remastered? Does it have the same extras? Are any of the episodes missing or cut? The diamond set comes with a Vudu digital download option so I guess that's a plus. Any info would be great. Thanks.

So HBOMax has all the seasons streaming. Is this why they won't put them on disc? Are they pulling a Disney?
