Peewit (same): What didn't I hear?
(Johan and the Smurfs open their eyes wide, astonished.)
Brainy (to Papa Smurf): There's something strange smurfing to him!
Smurfette (horrified): Yes, Brainy! But what?
Papa Smurf: It's like he’s been bewitched... (having a sudden thought) Great Smurfs! That fish! It must have smurfed a spell on Peewit!

Papa Smurf: Yes, Handy, we heard that too. As if it's exulting!
Hefty (angered): That... thing is already smurfing on my nerves!
Papa Smurf: Calm down, Hefty; we don't know what shall be its reaction if it's smurfed.
Johan (staring at the fish and putting his hand on his sword grip): Well, I only hope it won't try anything now.

Peewit: There must be a terrible mistake! My dear Etheldreda wouldn't harm a fly!!
Handy (indignant): Perhaps because your fish hasn't had a chance to smurf it yet, huh?
Papa Smurf: Handy, please calm down.
Handy (same): But it was my tail it smurfed, Papa Smurf!

Peewit (running to the table where the bowl with the goldfish fish was put on and standing in front of it with open arms in a protective gesture): Nobody will harm my dearest Etheldreda!
Johan: Peewit, be reasonable! The Smurfs have already proved this fish is dangerous, can't you see?
Peewit (desperate): NO, NO! I WANT TO HEAR NOTHING ELSE! (to the goldfish) Don't worry, Etheldreda! I won’t let anybody do you any harm! (He gets the bowl and rushes out of the bedroom.)
Johan (dismayed): Peewit! PEEWIT, GET BACK!

Papa Smurf (alarmed): Johan, he can’t smurf around the castle with that fish!! Only Mother Nature knows what might happen to him or anyone else, especially at night!
Johan: You're right, Papa Smurf! You all stay here while I'm going to warn the King!

Clumsy: Uh, I don't know what happened. I just want Peewit to smurf back to reality, too.
Greedy: Well, I think the worst thing that fish will do is make Peewit become her dinner.

(Very concerned, the Smurfs hear some struggle noise among Peewit's shouts coming from outside.)
Peewit (angry): Let me go!
One of the guards of the king: Calm down, Peewit, we shall not hurt you.
Johan: This is for your own good, Peewit!
Peewit (moaning): Leave Etheldreda alone!

Johan: No, Peewit! Please, wait!
(Suddenly Peewit stops, as if he was paying attention to something that only he could hear. He also has a strange glow in his eyes.)
Peewit (talking slowly): YES, MASTER... I'LL OBEY YOU! (he starts to walk like an automaton. The guards move away from him, frightened of his attitude.)
Johan (alarmed): Peewit! Where are you going?
A guard: Goodness gracious, he seems to have gone mad!
Peewit (talking in the same way): I NEED TO FOLLOW MY MASTER'S COMMANDS... PLEASE DO NOT INTERFERE WITH THEM!
(Still carrying the bowl with the goldfish, he walks towards a door that leads to a staircase. A triumphant snarl is heard at this moment.)
Johan (horrified): PEEWIT!!

Johan (concerned): It's terrible, Smurfs! The King had the guards get Peewit and keep him safe, as well as take that dire goldfish from him! But he started talking to himself, otherwise, replying as if he was hearing someone... Then he took advantage of our amazement and escaped from us!
Papa Smurf: And where is he, now?
Johan: He walked out of the corridor through a door leading to a staircase, and the guards are after him. But the most horrid thing happened in the end: we heard a ghastly growl, which can only have come from Peewit's fish!
The Smurfs: ETHEL!!
