On the latest update to Smurf Village, you can now get quests from Smurfwillow! She's one of my favorites because she's really cool and surprising. :3

Anyone know of any DVD or Bluray retail exclusives? I'm only aware of walmart.com with a lunchbox, and target.com with an extra disc (but not sure what that extra disc will have)?
Anything for Amazon, BestBuy, etc?

The Australian Blu-ray & DVD releases include 'Smurf Scouts Camp: Collect Your Badges!' on the bonus disc. Does anyone know exactly what that is? no luck searching online.

Lol, this made me laugh pretty hard but my little cousin has a huge crush on Smurfstorm. He calls her "hot chick Norris."

I'm really glad they made the first movie in 2010 (+-2 years). That's what made the second generation of Smurf fans. Smurfs 2 in 2013 just fueled it. Smurfs: The Lost Village opened (or at least proved) another dimension for the fans of all generations.

I hope this movie release triggers a complete 80's series release on DVD for North America. I really don't know what the issue is. The popularity has never been higher these last few years.
But also, with Lost Village not bringing in nearly as much box-office dollars as the last live-action film, I don't know if we'll ever get another smurf movie, unfortunately.
The time to release the dvds and still be popular is slowly drifting away, I believe.

Don't be so sure! I heard the audio commentary and the directors and producers are actually considering a sequel and they seem they really want to expand the new world of the Forbidden Forest!

Great! I hope it's like Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Carribean where it will be a long series of movies.

Maybe.. even the mystery as to why the two villages were seperated all those years? To the point of them not existing to each other until the events of The Lost Village.

That's something I'd like to know. I also would like to know if there are other villages. I know there are many villages of all sizes in my fanfic.

Firstly, I'm thankful for this movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village, as it got me into Smurfs. I had a smurf plush when I was little (no longer have it sadly), and haven't seen much of or paid attention to the cartoon until now. When we got Cartoon Network, if it came on, it came on and that was it. Even saw the two live action movies shortly after, which in my opinion were fun, though I consider Lost Village the best of the three movies.
That said, I really loved this movie. Just everything about it, the adventure Smurfette, Brainy, Clumsy, and Hefty went on. The introduction of the other girl smurfs. Smurfblossom being really bubbly. Also Smurfette herself, finding out what she was meant to be. Not to mention my favorite moment was the climax all the way up to the end, it both had me excited and in tears.
I really hope there's a sequel, or even some short films. Really loved this movie, honestly, I'd like to see more done with this.

Good news to all. The Smurfs are getting a new TV series again.
The Smurfs to Star in New TV Show
September 1, 2017 Joanna Padovano Tong
IMPS and Dupuis Audiovisuel have teamed up to produce a brand-new Smurfs television series following the adventures of the iconic blue characters created by Pierre “Peyo” Culliford.
The show, which is expected to have 13-minute episodes, is currently in pre-development. Véronique Culliford, the president of IMPS, said: “The Smurfs TV series produced by Hanna-Barbera in the ’80s is highly successful, still being broadcast on a global scale. But creating a new series, giving the Smurfs an updated look, was just a logical next step for the property after three Hollywood movies. We are very happy to embark on this exciting journey with the Dupuis group, one of our historical partners on Smurfs comic books and animation.”
Léon Perahia, the CEO of Dupuis Audiovisuel, added: “Our collaboration with Peyo on Smurfs goes back to the first publication of the Smurf character in the magazine Spirou and the co-produciton of the Hanna-Barbera series. We’re delighted to be able to use our experience in bringing comic-book characters to life in service of this marvelous and enchanting universe.”

Very good news indeed. Upon Googling it, I found yet another article, and this one has a picture of work in progress. I'm liking the look of this so far, even if it is a work in progress.
IMPS, Dupuis Developing New Animated Smurfs Series
Official Smurfs licensor IMPS and the studio behind adaptations of ‘Spirou,’ ‘Little Spirou,’ ‘Papyrus,’ ‘Jojo,’ ‘Cedric,’ and more join forces to produce a new Smurfs TV series giving the little blue creatures an updated look.

Official Smurfs licensor IMPS and Dupuis Audiovisuel have decided to join forces to produce a new Smurfs TV series. The series is currently in pre-development. Episodes are planned to be 13 minutes long.
“The Smurfs TV series produced by Hanna-Barbera in the eighties is a highly successful series, still being broadcast on a global scale. A subsidiary of entertainment conglomerate Media-Participations known for producing screen adaptations of famous European comics like Spirou, Little Spirou, Papyrus, Jojo, Cedric, Kid Paddle, Little Furry and Marsupilami, Dupuis Audiovisuel has a catalog of titles including The Garfield Show, Tintin, Asterix, Lucky Luke, and The Red Turtle. The group has two animation studios: Ellipsanime in France and Dreamwall in Belgium.
“Our collaboration with Peyo on Smurfs goes back to the first publication of the Smurf character in the magazine ‘Spirou’ and the co-production of the Hanna-Barbera series,” adds Dupuis Audiovisuel CEO Léon Perahia. “We’re delighted to be able to us our experience in bringing comic book characters to life in service of this marvelous and enchanting universe.”

That remains to be seen. One thing I'm certain of is that it's back to being more about Peyo's vision than the incarnation made from the live action movies. Just my two cents.

My only concern is that, in addition to the original Smurf comic style, the original humor shall also be maintained (in other words: no toilet humor, please). ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)

I don't think that would happen. That seems to be a thing with Sony's movies. At least the live action one had it (was watching the first one last night), Lost Village, all I remember off hand is Hefty's little chalkboard joke he did to Brainy.
I think the article didn't mention Sony.

Perhaps in my opinion, they're doing it in the homage and style from the original Hanna-Barbera series, it was the longest running show with 9 successful seasons
