Why are the smurfs no longer on TV? I know the Cartoon network plays them every now and then at odd hours but nobody else ever shows them (I live in Indianapolis). They seemed so wholesome and fun and stoked the coals of imagination.

Did something happen to the creator or did they lose favoritism in syndication?

Does anybody have any answers for me?

Hi Homey Smurf,

I've been wondering the same thing.

Officially, they're on Boomerang right now. Luckily, I actually get Boomerang (I don't think its on every cable system yet), but the odd hours are annoying - although they have nice promos featuring PVC Smurfs...

I really don't think they take showing the Smurfs seriously - and that must be a managerial / executive decision - because you can't tell me that the 5 hour blocks of Josie and the Pussycats - repeated all day long - on Boomerang are more popular.

However, I should point out that The Smurfs are on every few days on Boomerang - I just haven't really noticed a pattern yet. The program guide Boomerang provides to my satellite provider is often wrong, which doesn't help either.

We need a 24 hour Smurfs channel!

Seriously, email cartoonnetwork.com with your complaints - thats the only way I think they'll listen.

And...

As of now, they're no longer on Boomerang.

Well, the Smurfs pages on the Boomerang site are still there, but the program is not being aired.

Smurf! This is terrible!
