Wow, that was fast!
How are my crochet creations going? Great! In fact, right now I'm working on making a Vanity Smurf doll! I plan to make him a real mirror to hold too.
PS ANOTHER QUESTION
I hear your going on holiday (or depending on when the post was went on holiday)

Well, I'm not exactly going on holiday...more like a research trip. I've been having a great time spending the winter break with my family and my puppy dog at home in the US, but I go to school in the UK and I have to go back to the UK this week. I'm going to fly to London, then spend the next two weeks traveling by train from London up to Yorkshire, making stops to do research at libraries, archives, and museums along the way. So, it's not exactly a pleasure trip, because I'm going to be working very hard, but it will certainly be an adventure! And yep, I'm very excited!!! (and a little nervous too...)
Thanks very much for the smurfy interview! It was fun!
P.S. If I can finish my Vanity doll before I have to leave, I'll be sure to post a picture of him! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Oh, I have to think about that one...
OK, I've made:
Brainy Papa Smurf (two, actually) Handy Handy Smurfling Marina Hefty Jokey Grouchy Smurfette (2) Sassette (2) Harmony Azrael Gargamel Vanity (about half done so far)
Nightcrawler (5) Spiderman Zelda Link Faramir Elmo Mew Bob (from "ReBoot") (2)
Girl Doll (2)
Fish (2) Giraffe Bat Hedgehog Duckie Beaver
Einstein (Doc Brown's dog from "Back to the Future") A crochet doll of my own puppy
So, all together that makes about 40 1/2 dolls. And I'm not done yet! LOL!! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I don't sleep...
LOL! Actually, I make most of these dolls while I'm reading, or watching movies or TV shows. And it's useful, because I have a hyperactive imagination and working on these dolls helps me concentrate on what I'm doing so I don't slip off into a daydream.
Like my Smurfs stories, I mostly make these dolls in response to requests from my family and friends. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

That's a complicated question right there. LOL!
Well, I'm a writer--it's involuntary. I was telling stories and making up plays even before I learned how to write.
Lots of times, I use my fanfics as a way to figure things out, to answer a question, or to fill in a gap. The ideas usually come from daydreams I dream or doodles I draw when I'm supposed to be studying or taking notes, but sometimes I'm inspired by my family, by science or history books, or a challenge posed by a friend.
Fanfiction, for me, is a friendly, fun way to practice my writing and get honest constructive feedback, to try out new storylines and characters on an audience who's willing to play, and to take crazy chances without the agony of professional rejection. And, I guess I need that. I've sent out loads of stories, but only a few have been published so far. Even kind, encouraging rejection letters hurt. Fanfiction (and the wonderful people who read it) helps me fight my doubts and keep on writing, no matter what. What could be smurfier? ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
