SOME ONE HAS A 1981 SMURFETTE BASEBALL
IS IT ORIGINAL OR FAKE?
I HAVE ONLY SEEN 1984 SMURFETTE BASBALL
BUT NEVER HEAR OF A 1981 MY FRIEND HAS IT
BUT IS IT ORIGINAL OR FAKE?
MY FRIEND IS ON VACATION SO I CANT PUT THE PICTURE

Hi Hasan, I think I know which item you mean. It's from right ? I am not the expert, but I think I doubt that's real. The Baseball Smurfette suppose to made on year 1984.

This is the first time I have ever seen a Baseball Smurfette stamped with the "1981" markings.

Well, this is interesting. Here are the differences I have noted.
- It is marked 1981 unlike all of the other Smurfette baseball figurines (which read, "1984").
- The 1981 Baseball Smurfette text is uncharacteristically clear, uniform and straight.
- The "D" in the word "MADE" stands out to me as curious in the 1981 figurine. The "D" is curved and modern in the 1981 figure as compared to the "box" like printing of the 1984 figure.
- The 1981 Baseball Smurfette is missing the "&" ampersand.
- The 1981 Baseball Smurfette does not have the "3" production mould marking printed with the usual typeface.

Actually which one is correct, W.Berrie & Co or W.Berrie.Co ? So confusing.

Tous I have seen two Baseball Smurfettes marked 1984 one says "W Berrie Co." and the other: "W Berrie & Co."
But...It sounds like none of us have heard of a 1981!! But we've all heard of a 1984. The 1981 is too good to be true I think its a FAKE

Yes Smurfy, for the Baseball Smufette, I also sure thet's fake and see the seller have many of this Smurfette.
But I am thinking for some Smurf in the Market Now, even the year correct, but still many is fake. That's why i wonder if one of the company name is not right, there's one lesson for me to see which one is fake.
