I like Gargamel because he can be really funny in different episodes.

I really don't know, though being a despicable guy he was never sucessful in keeping the Smurfs even after he catched them - mainly with an awkward cat as Azrael by his side!! And besides, as a wizard, he's no match at all for Papa Smurf. I agree with Cool Smurf, Gargy can be pretty hilarious sometimes. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I like Gargamel.
Because he's the only villain in the smurfs
that never too much gross You know never feel discomfort for watching him. he's essentially
a true-classic villain! always good to see him
turned friendly to the smurfs.
And he's the best villain in the smurfs
who can potrays his stylish quote everytime
he make his evil plan!

Awww... So cute! Sassy has always liked old Gargy, despite knowing he wasn't her father as she imagined to be. That's a nice pic, Cool Smurf!

He's one of my favorite cartoon villains. Even though I would never want to see him win, I enjoy pitying him.

Well I used to have nightmares about him as a kid. So I'm not too fond of the guy--still, he is really funny as a cartoon villain. You know he can never win, just like the coyote never catches the roadrunner! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Smurfsomnia, he was clearly the scariest of the 80s TV show villains. He would recount the horrors he was about to bestow upon the Smurfs (a la a James Bond villain), and he occasionally seemed to have the fortitude to carry through on his threats. He was a genuinely scary villain if you looked at him from that point of view. On the other hand, he always let the Smurfs escape.. he was funny, he was pitiable, and most importantly he never actually went through with his threats (something the viewer could relax in knowing.) But still, you worried..

I think Gargamel makes a real cool villain, and he actually succeeds in capturing the Smurfs. A lot of villains can't even do that!
