"...with the exception that they didn't have clown makeup around their mouths." I always thought that the white ring around the Swoofs' mouths was tribal face paint. Then again, it could also have been like Fred Flintstone's (and/or Homer Simpson's) five o'clock shadow.
Interesting start, nonetheless.
