hi everyone... was there ever an episode in the smurfs where they ran across another village with green smurfs...called the swoofs

No.
But in the episode called The Astrosmurf. Dreamy does meet up with The Swoofs who are of course really Smurfs in diguise.
Papa Smurf and the others devised a plan to make Dreamy think he was on another planet.

You're welcome. Oddly enough in the trade paperback book I have the smurfs who became swoofs had red skin.

According to smurf.com, in the Astrosmurf episode, the other smurfs became Schlips and they had orange skin. But on the DVD they become Swoofs with green skin.

Actually, the comicbook version of the Swoofs had more like orange skin.

I stand corrected.
The Smurfs as The Swoofs made two more appearances in the show. One in which Brainy accidently messes up Papa Smurf's chemicals in an episode where he was being a very rude houseguest and the other when Dreamy found out who The Swoofs were. And of course at the end of that story he did meet up with a real one who was a Schlip.

What is the difference between Schlips and Swoofs?
I don't remember Schlips on the show, wasn't the real alien called a Sweef or something?
