In a recent windowshopping trip up at the Holyoke Mall in my local area, I was surprised to see Spencer Gifts carrying Smurf stuffed dolls and plastic figurines with card backings. Though I didn't have much money with me, I went ahead and bought at least two new figurines.

Mostly Papa Smurf, Smurfette, and normal male Smurf dolls.

Were they the Smurfs from a couple of years ago, or are they new Smurfs that are not Irwin Smurfs? I can't wait to see!

As far as I can tell, the plastic figurines have the Schleich label on them and are copyrighted 1999. (The printing on the bottom of the figurines are dated for earlier years.) For the record, the ones I bought are Hefty and a demon Smurf.

For Christmas Sassette and I got some Smurfs from Spencers: The stuffed "postman" Smurf (holding the horn and letter), the "umbrella" Smurf (holding the mushroom over his head), a Papa Smurf keychain, a Smurfette keychain, and a Smurf portfolio!

Great stuff! Thanks for telling everyone Vic!

Just thought I would point out that not all Spencers Gifts carries Smurf merchandise. Some carry a few items, some carry all, some carry none. So you may have to shop around!
