The new stylized looks are fine until they started to move in the trailer...I feel so livid, nausea confused and facepalming all at the same time.
I don't where to start I mean NOTHING looks right and proper in this trailer.
What's up with Paris and live action hybrid...again!?
Lost Village was a step in the right direction now we're right back to 2013 again with these mistakes.
Were they run out of ideas, and why it's about Smurfette again?
Why is Gargamel looked butt ugly, Smurfette at time didn't even look like a girl.
Animation looked worse than the current TV show.
And the colors they used are making me feel sick.

I dunno.. What Nicholas Chandra said was true too ... I felt this film was rather strange. Indeed the movement is too smurf. Even the atmosphere in Paris and all the live action movements are rather soft (In 3D you call it "without curve")
But .. at least they put in humor 21st century.

I think the animation looks fine. They've made lively well-animated cartoon Smurfs that look good.
Smurfette is voiced by Rihanna. In the earlier movies, Smurfette was voiced by Katy Perry. Getting famous singers to voice Smurfette seems to be a pattern. Modern animated movies are usually voiced by celebrities and this movie continues the popular trend.
Going back to Paris again? That could be good, there is a lot to do in Paris. We'll see. Seeing Smurfs in the real world is exciting. We'll just have to wait until the movie comes out. Overall, I'm optimistic about the movie.

Well... in the end, let's wait for the movie release, I really really hope that it will be better than what we saw from the trailer and that I was wrong.
I'm not saying that the movie is bad or worse... it's just... disappointing (I thought it will be better than lost village)
First: the Character design and quality, it felt cheap, too simple, and unsatisfied. Second: the plot story seemed confusing and too much to chew with papa's brother and the international watch smurfs Paris (Except Gargamel's brother). Third: Smurfette voice Rihanna isn't not suitable (even though I like Riahanna), every time I replay the trailer and listening to Smurfette sound makes me uneasy, very very very different from other voice actors in the previous.
Let's wait for the movie and hope for the best.

My opinion is that it should have been entirely CGI, even with the style of art it's going with. Having it a mix of live-action and CGI is like they're trying to do the 2011 Smurfs movie all over again, only with characters that obviously look like cartoons.

I have not been on this forum in years, despite still following Smurfs, played the new games (loved Smurfs: Mission Vileaf), watched the 2021 cartoon series. Hope no one minds me sharing my thoughts on this new movie, even though I haven't been here in years.
Call it an unpopular opinion (at least on YouTube, I've seen the word "awful" thrown around a lot), I'm excited for the movie and seeing what's next for Smurfs. To start, I like the way the Smurfs look in this movie. It grew on me, and the new style looks cute, I like it.
I do have a tiny complaint, I notice the lack of the Smurfs from Smurfy Grove, from Smurfs: The Lost Village. It kind of surprises me since those Smurfs have been in the 2021 series, some of the comics, and even some of the new games (for example Blossom was playable in Smurfs Kart).
Will admit, seeing them return to Paris did catch me off guard, they did the live action thing before. I do feel optimistic about the new movie, I'm still happy about it, even if it is an unpopular opinion.

I enjoy the art style and I'm glad they finally got rid of the blue eyes and just made them cartoony black ones like they always were, tho I think animation and environment-wise, Lost Village does better.
But Like Notesy up here has said, it's just kind of the same deal as before. Not to mention the Multiversus thing that every movie nowadays is doing due to Spiderverse.
I'm sure it won't be an awful movie or anything but it's not really what I'd expect.
