Thanks!

It WAS meant to be mistletoe... But it really does look more like holly, doesn't it? [Big Grin]

I think nearly everyone confuses holly for mistletoe.

I already knew it was holly when I pulled up a reference image from Google, but I really didn't think it mattered too much. Besides, in my opinion, holly just looks much more bright and festive compared toreal mistletoe. (Also, somehow, it's easier to draw for me)

Personally I like the way holly looks too. More than mistletoe. If Brainy and Ariel were under it tho people would complain that it's the wrong plant.

But they aren't ssssooo it's all good!!

Here's a new update on the Christmas picture I'm smurfing up... Just about ready for some color, almost, I'd say...

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas! I managed to complete the picture just a short while ago... Enjoy...

 -

(P.s. please don't be upset that I didn't include more Smurf characters in this image, because it takes me quite awhile to get the details one the ones I did include just right... Maybe I can fit them in next year)

That's wonderful, Ariel!! [Vanity Smurf] I love all the detail in it, like the bugs in the lamp post and little smurf ornament.

A redraw of two scenes from the original comic version of "The Purple Smurfs", originally known as "The Black Smurfs" in foreign countries. The first one shows a Purple Smurf disguising himself in blue paint to avoid getting cured. The second one shows a disguised Purple Smurf scolding an undisguised Purple Smurf for biting his tail. This is an attempt at mixing Peyo's art style with the likes of Terrytoons animator, Carlo Vinci. ( click here ) He is known for animating jaunty movements to musical beats, especially when he is assigned to do dancing sequences by the directors.

Brainy and Hefty Smurf formed the Smurf Village Police Department once in the original comic book story of the same name (originally known as Les Schtroumpfs de L'Ordre in French). Clumsy Smurf didn't have much of a big role in the original story, so I drew him in a police outfit to make him the third member of Brainy's patrol force. Brainy is the sole good cop and Hefty is the sole bad cop, so I made him a little in-between of both.

Inspired by the episode, "Crying Smurfs". Empath comes out of his home to ask Brainy why everysmurf is crying all of a sudden. Brainy explains to him that the strong intensity of the onions was the cause of it all, including him. The smart Smurf then kneels down on the ground, crying. Empath ponders about this situation and decides to talk it over with Hefty.

Empath Smurf belongs to VicGeorge2010.

Empath seems to be overreacting in that picture.

Not only that, but he is also skeptical of most of the village constantly reducing to tears, thanks to the onions enhanced with Papa Smurf's intensifying potion by mistake.

Here's an update with Empath's expression toned down.

Nice touch. I guess I'll allow you to use that in one of your fan fictions, lest it would help boost your series a bit.
