You're welcome. Cool, I've been doing the same with Smurfette. My first attempt wasn't as good as my 2nd or 3rd attempt at drawing her. I also want to try other characters as I'm getting better with her.

What a sweet and adorable young blue lady. ![[Smurfette]](graemlins/smurfette.gif)

Remember how I mentioned I drew that Smurfette picture wanting to make a DIY shirt for myself. Hope it's ok to share a pic of the shirt. Just to give an idea of what I did.
I got the idea after seeing all the fanmade Smurf stuff on the Smurfs Official Instagram, and finding Smurfs shirts seem to be really difficult (no stores have them, but I did buy a cool Lazy Smurf one on Amazon. I also don't think I'll find Smurfette in a guy's/unisex style).

Was sitting in my bed listening to music while looking at my Vexy plush, I decided to draw her for fun tonight. As a Smurf anyway, the way she looks towards the end of the movie (my plush is her as a naughty).
First time drawing her, I think some colors may be off, all I had to look at was a Smurfs 2 DS game box, and my plush. Otherwise I do want to share her.

I didn't know there was a Mermaid Smurfette! There's no info on her that I found on the web except for a short article at Smurfs Wikia--and that doesn't say much either. Did Mermaid reform and become good, or did she remain an antagonist to the Smurfs?
Upon learning about Mermaid Smurfette, my brain immediately started spinning a new backstory for her. She gets injured and washes up on the banks of the River Smurf, but is saved by the Smurfs before she dries up and almost dies. When she later overhears Gargy vent to Azrael that he can always make more mermaids and lose them--they're all expendable anyway--she thinks about who really cared about her when she was rescued and leaves Gargamel for good. She becomes a redeemed friend of the Smurfs, who consider Mermaid one of their own, and lives with her new ocean friends at the mouth of the River Smurf where it empties into the sea.

Here's one of my older pieces of fanart, dated back to November 2017.
It's Gutsy Smurf (in Hanna-Barbera cartoon style), Snappy, Slouchy, Nat and Sassette in an empty, black void for only 15 seconds before they return to Smurf Village.

They look nice...
Here's another piece from one of my older drawings.

A parody of the 2001 movie "The Others", where Papa, Brainy and Jokey meet up with their older selves from the 1960s Belgian animated shorts produced by TVA Dupuis.

The artwork looks great Matt! Nice seeing new Smurf artwork.
I actually never knew about that 60's series until couple of months ago. Learned about it while looking up Smurfs online.

They look more like the Ghosts of Smurfs Past.

Hmm.
Maybe you're right, Vic.
These old incarnations from the Belgian animated shorts of the 60s do feel like ghosts from way back, according to the addition of outer glowing aqua green/teal outlines.

So... MG! Remember our role-play adaption of MI? Well... I was wondering if you could do some MI character cards for the time-misplaced Smurfs!

Thanks, Squeaky.
It's a 1960s black-and-white TVA Dupuis-era Smurf first encountering with a 1980s color Hanna-Barbera-era Smurf.
Which reminds me of a new RP we're gonna start on the Role Play Forum.
It will be called, "Smurf Generations".
