Something happens that causes Brainy to act much more stupid than Clumsy. The other Smurfs find this much more satisfying than his annoying lectures, but what could've happened that caused Brainy to become so stupid?

So, Handy literally shoves a cork in Brainy's mouth. However, Brainy pops the cork out of his mouth.

Clumsy: Er, personally I don't think this is the most important thing. Not being recognized doesn't mean that anysmurf doesn't like you!
Brainy (about to have an argument but thinks better): Hmmm... Perhaps you're right, Clumsy, though I'm not quite smurfsure. But thanks a smurf, anyway!
(He pats gently Clumsy's back and moves away.)
Clumsy (surprised): Uh, Brainy! Where are you going??
Brainy: Don't worry, Clumsy. I only need to be a little alone...

Jokey: Bah, probably he must be smurfing the latest version of one of his boring quotation books!
Greedy: Nope, Jokey: he'd never lose lunchtime to go on smurfing with his books.

Greedy (fairly upset): Well, I don’t think so; I don’t believe he'd rather smurf his books than eat my food!
Clumsy (worried): Gosh, what if he has lost his appetite?
Papa Smurf (same): Or even became sick?
Grouchy: I HATE becoming sick!
Smurfette (who had just finished her meal): Well, in my opinion it's no use smurfing over things that may not be possible. (To Greedy) Please, give me Brainy's dish, and I'll smurf it to his house.
(She leads to Brainy's taking his meal.)
