Boeing: something that powerful could be incredibly dangerous in Gargamel’s hands. And Snappy, I’m thinking we could go to the Winslow’s place first. We’ll bring Papa with us so he can show us around.

PAPA: Well, years have passed in New York City and Blue is already reaching his 18th birthday.
BOEING: So, we're going further into the future of New York City?

Boeing: not to worry, the MTD is currently capable of reliably taking us anywhere in the world to the year 2110.

PAPA: You surely must mean the year of 2018... 2110 is much too far into the future... They will be dead by that time as well...
BOEING: Sorry, I meant 2011...
PAPA: Too far back, we cannot interact with our past selves... Our best bet is to either go closer to the time they are at right now, or to 2019, which is one year after we found Ariel... Blue would be about the age of eleven or twelve by then...
BOEING: 2021, then... We'd give them less of a shock than we would if it were only a year after she came to us, and it would ruin the festivities to be the smurfers of bad news...

Boeing: it’ll take us anywhere in the world and is reliable between the years 100BC and 2110AD. My scientists are working on getting it reliable to 4000BC, which is the beginning of time itself.

Boeing: if we really stuffed it full, we could do 20 or 30; but it’s best just to do a max of 8 for safety and comfort. We can actually teleport everysmurf to a single area within 10 minutes if we run it every few seconds.

PAPA: Yes, Brainy. Give your good-byes and let's be off.
(Brainy runs off to say goodbye to the others who are not going with the group... Then steps into the tomb of Ariel one last time before joining the other six Smurfs)
BRAINY: Ariel, I don't know if you can hear me now... But Angelica and I are going on a trip with Papa, Boeing and the smurflings. We'll be going to visit Master Winslow and his family,then to another time when you were still with us so that the little ones can hear one of your stories one last time before letting go... We will really miss you. I have to go now. I'll come straight here after we return.
(He runs back to where Papa and Boeing are helping the smurflings into the MTD baby Angelica is already strapped into a seat, cooing, giggling and making all sorts of happy baby noises)
BOEING: Ready every Smurf?

Snappy and Slouchy realized that Blue is all grown up and is 18 years old.
SNAPPY: We're the Smurflings! Snappy, that's me. And that's Nat, Slouchy and Sassette. (beat) Wow! You grew!
SLOUCHY: A lot!
SASSETTE: By the way, what year are we in?
BLUE: 2026.

(Brainy emerges with baby Angelica in his arms, the infant's thick brown hair curling up and down around her tiny little hat)
GRACE: My goodness... Is that...?
PATRICK: A baby Smurf...
PAPA: Yes...
GRACE: But whose baby is it?
(Brainy steps forward)
BRAINY: She is my daughter... Her name is Angelica Smurfette... Because she's just as angelic as her mother was...
BLUE: You mean Ariel?
(Brainy nods and sighs solemnly)
PATRICK: Hold on... was? Did something happen? Is she ok?
(Brainy chokes back a sob... Papa pats his shoulder)
PAPA: Sadly, yes... Something DID in fact, smurfen to her...

BRAINY: We were celebrating the first day of spring... Papa had just gotten done helping Ariel hone her magic...
SNAPPY: The rest of us Smurfs were sitting around the campfire, eating gingerbread and candied smurfberries...
BOEING: Ariel joined us... She was having a bit of a rough time with her allergies...
PAPA: I warned her to be careful not to leave the fireside and away from any cats... And I made sure that she had her emergency vial of potion with her...
SLOUCHY: Poet started telling ghost stories...
SASSETTE: He told the one about Gibbella, the nasty cat ghost who possessed Papa a long time ago and nearly destroyed us all...
BRAINY: The story ended, And then Ariel passed out, shaking like a Smurf in the snow...
PAPA: She had a scar on her cheek when I got to her... A sure sign that the demonic spirit was back...

BOEING: Long story short, Ariel was smurf-napped by a couple of ghosts and we tried to save her... Ghosts attacked us... Ariel got mad, made a magic force field, which saved us and destroyed the demons... turns out that used up all of what little power she had left... And.... Well, here we are now...
BRAINY: Even if you try to Smurf it simple, Ariel's sacrifice was far more complicated than anysmurf will know...
(Grace tries to keep from crying as she kneels down by the table... Blue squats down beside his mother hugging her with one arm... Patrick stands behind them, resting a hand on each of their shoulders...)
GRACE: Oh my gosh... That's so sad...

(Brainy's lip quivered slightly as he remembered what happened those few long hours ago... No Smurf had slept a wink since...)
BRAINY: It just happened...
PATRICK: You should have waited a couple of days... You're just adding onto the stress of losing her by traveling, you know.
GRACE: Oh dear, yes, Patrick's right... Are you sure you should be at home...
PAPA: I know, but right now I think it's best if Brainy and the Smurflings come to see the world Ariel grew up in for the longest time... Maybe they will be happier once they see she's had a good life while it lasted...
BLUE: Wow... She was like a sister to me... Now she's gone... I'm just glad you told us... Instead of what most people around here do and leave their loved ones in the dark about the passed away...
