SASSETTE: Here we are!
BRAINY: Thank you... I'm sure Ariel would thank you too... If she was still here...
(Brainy pulls a pair of hedge trimmers from under his hat, cuts a bouquet of the golden flowers, and heads back to the site of the monument, leaving Boeing and Sassette alone in the woods.)
SASSETTE: I feel really bad about what happened to Ariel... I wish I could do something to fix it...
BOEING: Sorry little one, there's nothing we can do about it.

HEFTY: Hey, Handy, you think we're about smurfed here?
HANDY: Not quite... Brainy wants it to where any Smurf can come and see Ariel for a long time to come...
SCULPTOR: Yes, and he said that her statue should be absosmurfly perfect... So he chose a picture of her that Painter had smurfed of her on her last Smurfday... *Holds up a painting of Ariel standing heroically, with her twelve-smurf long hair billowing in the wind and sparks of magic twinkling between her hands*
HEFTY: That looks like it's going to be a challenge...
SCULPTOR: On the contrary... *Pulls back a drape to reveal a bigger-than-life statue of Ariel which looks exactly like the picture* I was already working on it before that horrible smurftrocity... It was going to be a Smurfday gift to her...

SCULPTOR: I never really got the time to actually step back and smurf a look at it until now... But I see that it is nearly impossible to smurf a mistake when creating any kind of image of the lost Smurfette... Ariel is just so simple, yet so perfect at the same time... Or at least, she was...
(Just then, Brainy arrives, carrying the bouquet of golden roses, which is now wrapped up in green paper. He stops, just inches away, when he sees the statue, now being lifted up to the top of the tomb)
BRAINY: It's... Perfect... Thank you, friends. I'm sure Ariel would thank you as well if she could...
(The warm breeze and angelic voice return briefly and the statue floats easily to its destination almost as if Ariel herself were trying to help)
HANDY: Well I'll be... I guess she likes it too...

(the warm breeze gently pushes Brainy into the tomb, the pedestal in the center is perfectly prepared for the ceremony, a bed of the most beautiful flowers had been placed. Brainy lays the roses down by the pedestal and exits. When he comes out, the other Smurfs are waiting for him. He nods his head)
BRAINY: It's ready... Let them come and we shall smurf the service at once...
BOEING:*nods* I'll get Papa and the other Smurfs...
(Enter Johan and Peewit)
JOHAN: It's ready?
(Brainy nods his head)
BRAINY: It is...
(Papa and the rest of the Smurf Village arrive at the grave site and slowly proceed to take seats on some small branches that had been gathered up and arranged as if they were church pews. Johan and Peewit stand in the back. A Smurf wearing a black minstrel cloak works his way to the front)
MINISTER SMURF: Dearly besmurfed... We are smurfed here today to say good-bye to a very important part of our society... Ariel, also known as the legendary Lost Smurfette, has been lost, yet again, to us, just hours ago... The girl who not only saved us all, single-smurfedly, but also blessed us all with her kindness, generosity and wisdom... Brainy, I'm smurftain you have a few words you would like to say...

(Brainy, his heart pounding in his chest, strode to the front of the crowd.)
BRAINY: Most of you Smurfs knew her... Simply as the Lost Smurfette, for she was the first girl Smurf -- even before Smurfette herself... The first time she was lost being the reason why the Forbidden Falls were called what they were for 180-plus years... But there are those of us who actually smurf some kind of a feeling in their hearts when they think of her... To Papa, she was his first smurfological child, alongside her twin brother, Clumsy Smurf who, for many many years, secretly thought that he was a terrible burden on the village... But he was not... It was thanks to him, and a very special bond that occurs between twin Smurfs who are separated, that there was hope in finding her again... To Smurfette... She was an older sister... A mentor... To many of you Smurfs, a friend... To me... I can never accurately describe how much she meant to me... The day I met her in the Winslow's home, she was in her human form, with a couple of distinguishing features: she had one blue eye, and half her body was covered in patches of smurfy blue skin... And when we smurfed eyes, we knew each other right away... But when we woke up the next morning, she was a full out Smurf... She was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen... I never really got the chance to tell her that... I was never brave enough to smurf up to her and say that I loved her... Not for a long time, that is... But time smurfed by and I saw that she liked me too... I was willing to give up my whole life for her if I had to... I had never been so bold before... She changed me... I'm a better Smurf thanks to Ariel... So smurfically, what I'm trying to smurf is that... Ariel, if you are still among us, and listening... I love you, and I will miss you very much... And I will do my best to care for our new daughter, Angelica...
*Brainy takes Ariel's body into his arms and walks into the tomb, Hefty and Tuffy close behind. He stops just short of the glass case atop the pedestal Hefty and Tuffy lift the top of the case as Brainy lies her on the bed of flowers and places the bouquet of golden roses in her hands and backs away, his head bowed Hefty and Tuffy lower the lid and the three of them walk out)
BRAINY: Would another Smurf like to share a few words before we continue?

Boeing went up to the podium.
Boeing: Ariel, though she never intended to be, was the bravest warrior I’ve ever smurfed. She gave up everything to smurf our lives from the demons which returned from hell to destroy the smurfs! Ariel *holds up a gold medal with an iron fist engraved on it* though you are not here to see this, I bestow upon you the smurf Medal of Honor for being a true hero! *hands the medal to Brainy along with a smurf flag folded like the American flag*
Melody, Greedy, Handy, Blossom, Farmer, Stormy, and Detective perform the 21 gun salute.
