I had a life-changing event yesterday that I'll never get over.
I was heading towards the store, completely in the safe zone on the parking lot, when a truck sped around the corner and broadsided me. The last thing I remember is thinking "it's the end."
When I wake up I'm in a hospital bed with Danny at my side and an IV in my arm. Turns out the truck didn't hit me too hard. But I was told by my grandmother that I landed on my back in a grass patch-that patch saved my life.
Doctors tried getting me to eat, but I still can't stomach anything, thinking as to how terrifying what I did must be to my family. The landing, completely on my spine, ruptured my nerve canal. I'm not going deeper into that, it's personal.

I'm okay, but I'm in a lot of pain. I had to go to school today, and I get to use the elevators. Have an eyepatch for a bit, and until we can scrounge up even a tenth of the cost of surgery, my bladder control is limited. The collision with my spine to ground completely destroyed nerve signals.
