Love the art Matt! But who said that the girls of Smurfy Grove wont be in the series? I never saw that stated officially anywhere?

Very incredible art dedicated to our little blue friends! Props to you all! [Big Grin]
I remembered that other comics character also made his debut in 1958: Oumpah-Pah, by the creators of Asterix, so I imagined how fun putting him and 'Two-Scalp' his friend celebrating with the Smurf - and Gargamel couldn't help appearing, too! [Wink]

Since the texts became somewhat small to be read, I'm transcribing them here:

"MAY NANABOHZO THE GREAT RABBIT AND THE PUMA (MY TOTEM) ALWAYS WATCH OVER YOU, MY LITTLE BLUE BROTHERS AND SISTERS!"

"SMURFY THANKS, BRAVE WARRIOR, AND LET MOTHER NATURE LOOK AFTER YOU, YOUR TRIBE AND FRIENDS!"

"RELAX, GARGAMEL... WE PROMISE WE’LL SMURF THE GAG OUT OF YOUR MOUTH WHEN IT’S TIME TO CUT THE CAKE SO THAT YOU’LL BE GIVEN A SLICE!"

The Smurfs turn 60 with a bang in Brussels

Belgium celebrated the 60th anniversary of the creation of legendary cartoon characters – the Smurfs on October 23. Dozens dressed in blue attended the event. Veronique Culliford, daughter of Pierre Culliford, the creator of the Smurfs, attended the event in Brussels and said she was very happy that the characters remain popular. Cartoonist Pierre Culliford, who worked under the name "pseudonym Peyo", died in 1992.
