Peyo Hugs Papa Smurf

As many of you know, Peyo created the Smurfs. So I guess he could be thought of as the father to the Smurfs. And given that today is Father's Day, why not celebrate him too!

In addition to this interesting History of The Smurfs: The Peyo Biography, there is also a book called "Pierre Culliford, known as PEYO, The Life and Work of a Marvellous Storyteller".

The book presents the life work of Peyo, whom created not only the Smurfs but many other great series. This book is filled with reproductions of his original pages from Johan & Peewit to Poussy the Cat and more, plus plenty of Smurfs art! In addition to the beautiful artwork, the book also details the history of Peyo's creations too!

Here is an excerpt from the book. Peyo talks about the invention of the Smurf name and Smurf language. He even describes why Smurfs are blue!

Totally cool Sassette and Squeaky!! I've never seen the Peyo book "The Life and Work of a Marvellous Storyteller" before!! It looks like a cool biography.

And I've never seen Peyo's cute Benoît Brisefer either Squeaky!! [Big Grin]

I recommend getting it on Amazon. It's the cheapest place I've found!! It's only $40 brand new!
