Clumsy: Gosh, I’ve never seen a paintbrush that glows!
Handy: It must be enchanted, which is perfect for breaking the curse.
Spookanardo: Who’s there?!
*the Smurfs quickly back up against the castle walls as Spookanardo looks out his window*

Penciller: Okay, he's gone. Now's our chance to get the paintbrush.
Handy: Let's hope Johan and Peewit come up with a good distraction. I wouldn't want us to be a part of Spookanardo's art gallery.

Hefty: *sighs* Johan and Peewit will distract Spooko…what’s his name, and we get the paintbrush. Everyone got…uh, Penciller?
*the Smurfs look through the window again and are horrified when they see Penciller at the desk, picking up the paintbrush*

Johan: Peewit, calm down! *to Spookanardo* Look, I'm sure someone out there could be the thief. If they are guilty of stealing your most valuable item, we'll bring them to justice. Now, if you can just convince your pet to let go to my friend, we'll stop the thieves and bring it back to you.

Johan: I didn't want you to end up on Spookanardo's hit list. Too bad we didn't get the paintbrush in time.
