Gargamel walks off into the kitchen off-screen to cook dinner.

Gargamel: See, when you wash and I dry, we get done faster! Then tomorrow night we switch!
Prince Monster Smurf Son has trouble scrubbing a pan.
Gargamel: Here, let me show you a trick, my son. See, you let it soak and we'll wash it in the morning.
Prince Monster Smurf Son giggles.
Gargamel: Enough chores... come along, dear boy. I want to show you something special...

heart been broke so many times i i dont know what to believe

[Gargamel removes the blanket, revealing a sculpture of himself and his son. Prince Monster Smurf Son tries to shove a pea in the sculpture's mouth, but it falls to the ground.]
Prince Monster Smurf Son: Is there something wrong with me? The way I am… It's not normal... is it?
Gargamel: Oh... pretty baby boy. You're the most normal thing in my whole life to enjoy. We're like two normal jelly beans sitting at the bottom of the jar, floating in a sea of olives, waiting for somebody to guess how many jelly beans are in the jar... which I mentioned.
Prince Monster Smurf Son: I don't think I understand…
Gargamel: Just look into my eyes and know that everything is okay.
[In Gargamel's living room]
Gargamel: Are you feeling normal yet? [Princess Monster Smurf Son shrugs, and then giggles.] Okay. [Gargamel’s painting shows a normal looking humanoid family sitting together.] See that? We're normal, just like the normal people are.
Prince Monster Smurf Son: Oh...
