Wouldn't you have loved to have seen this thing come out back in the early 1980s when the Atari 2600 was popular? Someone by the name of Benjamin Heckendorn has finally designed himself a portable version of the Atari 2600, using parts from a Casio brand handheld TV with an active-matrix screen, an old Nintendo controller, and the innards of an Atari 2600 scaled down to fit this casing. Looks pretty weird and like something that could have been produced by Atari in that time period, even right down to the simulated woodgrain!

We seem to frequent the same websites - I thought that 2600 was *really* cool.

Too much work for me though!

I wouldn't mind a 2600 in one of those "attach to the TV with a single cable / Joystick & machine-in-1" units I see on QVC... (You know, car racing game, Frogger-type game, etc. all stored in the joystick itself, which just plugs into the TV RCA jacks).

Hey, btw...I responded to your post at colecovision.com!
