I am so late on this, but down south of me, Southern Ontario, in Toronto, we had a Huge ice storm, knocking out power to 300,000 people. Toronto was one of those cities that was greatly affected (Scarborough being the most affected). A lot of people were without electricity, even on christmas day, and crews from Michigan and Manitoba were sent to clean up. some people had died due to using barbecues and generators inside or near their houses. My Mother lives in Toronto and she says it was so cold that my sister was in a blanket and almost had a heart attack. really horrible, eh? well, after, some people went to their friend's houses and went to warming centres. They also had to leave some food outside of their house while throwing some stuff away as well...
There were tree branches falling on the road and people slipping on ice...
I'm just glad it's over.. just wanted to tell you guys a story about what happened near christmas day
