My mom just went to a surprise party for my grandma for her birthday. My grandma originally planned to come over to my house, her friend who lives with her who I call nanny planned it so she's not really coming. Here is how it went:
1. My grandma was planning to come over for a visit.
2. My grandma called my mom
3. My mom told her almost the complete truth(the parts in quotes are not true): Brett (my dad) is working on a project for work and it would be hard for him to do it in the office because they are moving the office he works in somewhere else. He has to do it at home "and he didn't want to say it but he thinks you coming over would be a distraction." I guess I could give you your presents, are you coming over for New Years? (we have a New Years day party at our house every year). Ok then I'll give them to you then.
4. My mom goes to a restaurant to meet them (a couple of my grandma's friends are going too) and plans to tell her what is really going on.
Thinking about this made me wonder if any of you have heard about a surprise party or been a part of one. I would like you to post it here and hearing what occasion it was for would be smurfy. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

When people say giving is better than receiving they are talking about me. Giving someone one of my exploding presents is WAY better than receiving one. ;)
