I liked the movie TRON. I almost did a Smurf comic book adaptation of the movie around the time the movie was popular, with Papa Smurf playing the role of Dumont the Input/Output Tower Guardian and Smurfette as Yori. The movie villain entity known as the MCP, the Master Control Program, was my inspiration for the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf character the Psyche Master, the leader of the Psyches who, unlike Papa Smurf, spends his entire time sitting in a temple surrounded by a pillar of light, commanding the Psyches and punishing any who disobey him with painful bursts of energy.
Anyway, I saw a rather blurry capture of the TRON 2 preview trailer and thought it was interesting, keeping the original version's neon-beam circuit-world look while updating it somewhat. Hopefully the movie will come to fruition.
