There are freebie programs out there like AOLpress (similar to Microsoft's FrontPage Express freebie that came with certain copies of Internet Explorer) that allow you to create web pages without any programming...just simply type in your text and place your pictures on the page like you would on a word processing program! Some freebies even have design wizards so you can create a page from some choice preselects so you don't have to fuss over how you want the page to look, at least initially. If you happen to have the latest version of Microsoft Word (from '97 edition onward), you can create a webpage from that. My suggestion is do a search through Download.com for webpage editors and see what they have available for software that you don't have to know HTML in order to use...or just search the Web for AOLpress.

Well, if you want to do raw HTML programming of webpages, all I can say is that there are books and websites on the subject. One book I use is The Complete Idiot's Guide To Creating An HTML Web Page, which is really helpful if you want to learn the basics of programming a webpage. The book also contains a disk with programs you can use to code in and enhance your webpage with images, sounds, animations, etc. As far as what program to use when typing in the code for webpages, there are also some good freebie programs like CoolEdit. But if you have Microsoft Windows, then you already have a program for typing in HTML code -- Notepad. Just make sure when you save the file that you save it not as a text file but as an other file with .HTM or .HTML as its suffix.Personally, though, I would recommend using both Notepad for HTML coding and programs like AOLpress and FrontPage Express to really maximize how your webpage is going to look, since there are things you can do better with direct HTML coding than you can do through those programs I have mentioned.

I can help you, please email at azreal271@aol.com , I have been a webmaster for several years, since ! was 10, and now at 13 I have recieved various awards as top 50 young webmaster awards. Being a young webmaster has alot of dis advanteges, money costs and stuff like that. However my work in websites and Clubs have been featured all over the net. For instance when I started webmastering I chose a hard task. An official Golden Girls club. I made a few friends and eventually turned the club over to them. It turned up to be bad idea, the once popular club was rejected with a letter from Lifetime, the person I turned uit over to was a webmaster,http://www.geocities.com/sicilian_gecco, thats there site. You can read what they have to say about it. A bad start, but I didnt give up, I still have many websites plasterd over the web. Some Church websites, some just for fun. But I have decided to start placing A logo/link to my webmaster no-profit buisness. In the future perhaps I will charge, but as long as it is free for me, I am happy to build and assist builders.

Another neat tool for doing webpages is CryptEdit, which like the latest editions of Microsoft Word let you convert Word document files into webpages, though it isn't as sophisticated as Word. However, it also has its interesting quirks as far as how much WYSIWYG the final webpages go in text arrangement, so you might want to do some raw HTML programming to fine-tune the page here and there. CryptEdit is freeware and is what I've been using for translating the chapter of my Empath story into webpages. Another good freebie tool is Text2Html, which can be used to transfer .TXT files into webpages.

Actually, the tool name I have mentioned, CoolEdit, should have been Cool HTML. CoolEdit is an audio recording and editing program, which is trialware. Sorry for the confusion.
