So, recently my ex friends from discord did something bad to Smurfette and I did NOT like that at all. Then 4 months ago I saw all of my ex friends were hating on the 2021 series and blocked the Smurfs TikTok and instagram account for no reason. If you guys are reading this please block all of my ex friends for this hate. This needs to stop please! 😑

I don't understand the massive hate either, but I think some of it might be generational. A lot of people even made nasty comments on our generation with the live action movies because it wasn't the Hanna-Barbera cartoon, but they forget that it was our gateway into the franchise. At least, that was the case for me, I can't speak for everyone.

Exactly, it’s getting annoying as well.

I didn't like them when they were first introduced in America with the 1980s cartoon show first airing in 1981, but "The Purple Smurfs" got me hooked. Also I wanted to get my hands on the Smurf video game by Coleco, and ended up getting it for my birthday for the Atari 2600 in 1983. I was starting to work on Smurfs fanfiction during the 1980s, which eventually led to the creation of Empath: The Luckiest Smurf and my writing the novel that I hoped would someday become a movie (I still have that fantasy, and I want it to look something like the 2010s live-action Smurfs movies!), which began in graphic novel form (though it never got finished), and ended up in prose form and finished in 2000. I'm not a big fan of the 2020s CGI cartoon show, and do wish that somebody would make the Smurfs movie that would bring closure to the 1980s cartoon show and where it ended up the dreaded Season 9 "time traveling" episodes.
