Hello,

I am a newbie to this board, but not a newbie to the world of The Smurfs. I've been a fan of the show since I was a wee lass - about 4 years of age near 18 years ago.

I do have a question, however; I cannot seem to find The Smurfs on TV. I hear they appear on Boomerang, but I have checked the schedule for that channel and have yet to see anything. Sadly, I do not have Boomerang, but if I hear that The Smurfs will be returning, I will gladly purchase this channel just to see the cartoon I loved so dearly as a child.

Let me be the first to welcome you to the board! [Smile]

Boomerang doesn't show The Smurfs on a regular basis. For the last month, though, they've shown The Smurfs for twenty-four hours every Friday. That ended on Friday, November 2, however.

When will The Smurfs be on Boomerang again? I don't know. I think other board members will have a better idea. I use GistTV to check what is on TV, along with Dish Network's program guide.

eBay has some good prices on used and new Dish Network systems. Dish Network's signal reaches all across North America. I don't think Boomerang is available in Europe or elsewhere.

As soon as I find out when Boomerang starts playing The Smurfs again, I'll write a message on the board - unless someone else beats me to it!

I have Direct TV and I wish I would have known that marathons of The Smurfs were on in October. If so, I would've purchased the channel back then. I always learn too late. *sigh* I do wish The Smurfs would return to Cartoon Network. I'm still wondering why they took The Smurfs off of that channel.

I have a few episodes on tape, but not as many as I'd like. As of right now, I only have around 10 episodes. *sigh* I do not have much cash, so if I were to ever find someone who was willing to sell me some Smurf tapes, I'd have to decline.

I appreciate your response and look forward to finding out soon or in the future when I may catch The Smurfs on TV once again.

Actually, I just found that the Smurfs is back on television again. And what's more, the Snorks is back as well. I found out about this on Dec. 28, 2001, at 2 PM.

So for now, your worries are over. :-)

The Smurfs are on Cartoon Network, every week day at 11:00 and 11:30. Yeah! Two episodes!
