Yeah, I'm still using Artecture... It's pretty good for remaking art... I'm considering digitally remastering almost all my traditional works...
Only downside is that my phone likes to glitch out and delete about a half hour's worth of work... And I never know when it's going to happen so I can't save before it goes wrong

You must save and save often to counteract that.

Yeah, so I realize I'm not posting as often as I used to, but I am still working on The Smurfs: Legend of the Lost Smurfette. Though, as anyone else in life... I have other priorities as well. Meaning that some other projects that I have not yet started/aren't bringing me anything in return can possibly be postponed or completely forgotten about. (so sorry, Sweet Smurf 2... Been really busy trying to get a job and doing classwork, sometime in the near future, maybe)
But as a genuine smurf aficionado, I assure you that, as I live and breathe, I WILL finish my fanfic!

Ok I managed to get some time to work on my figurine... The foil and Popsicle stick skeleton is turning out to be a very good choice... All I need to do now is the head, hands and clothes and hair

Hey all! Still working on my model of Ariel... Trying to decide on the best way to tackle the hands, head and such.... The body is good (not posting a picture of that at the moment... For *ahem* obvious reasons) she seems to have achieved full poseable function so far and for that reason, I'm not building a base for her as I have previously done. Once I have completed her, she will be able to pose for a few pictures. I won't be able to concoct a full stop motion video, however much I would like to, for fear of her falling apart from to much posing. I will most likely take just a couple shots (probably about 5 or less) in different positions.
It's going to be a while before she is ready, though...
Also, I have good news! Tomorrow afternoon, I have a job interview with McDonald's!! (OK, so not that exciting, but I'm hoping I can finally get a job so I have something to do during the day [or night I don't really care what shift I get])
Please wish me luck! I'm really hoping I get this job! ![[Big Grin]](/ubb/biggrin.gif)

So far, my new clay Ariel is smurfing over pretty well... But I couldn't pass up the chance to post a hilarious picture of her head in progress! Enjoy, and have a smurfy day!

Thanks! I'm debating whether or not to make ears, as well... And I'm trying to think of how the clothes and hair should be tackled as well

Still working out the bugs of what I want to do with her, but I have the feeling that Ariel 3-D is going to be done very soon. I hope you guys are as excited to see her as I am!

Working on the face some more today... I'm not sure about this, but maybe I can make it look good??
But I have a question :
Do you guys want a picture before I work on the clothes and hair? Or should I keep at it until she's done and ready?
Of course, if you do choose to see her before, I have to warn you that, since my OC is half Fairy, she will have the curves that I expect her mother would have.

It's almost ready lol
I expect to be at least done with head and hands tonight and hopefully get some time to work on those Darkwing Duck storyboards I said I would try to make for Sweet Smurf...
(PS: if you look to the right, you will catch a glimpse of an arm.)

Head and hands are just about done. Then all I will have to work on is clothes, hair, and accessories. But I would still like to know if you want a picture before I work on that?

Before I put up the (censored) image of my oc prior to adding clothes and hair... I would like to show you this (barely) realistic-looking digital sketch of her human form...

As I have previously mentioned, I have not yet made clothes or hair for her, so this is pretty much just a base model... I edited the photo and censored the nudity out as well as I can.

Looks great so far! Do you make clay art often? I saw your clay alien, too, it's really cool. I tried clay modelling a while ago, it did not turn out well lol.

I dabble in the art of clay modeling every so often... I don't usually have much time for too much in the means of art lately... Chores and college (not to mention keeping my mom stocked up on anything she needs to be able to do her job)
But I put all the effort I possibly can to make a great piece.

For all I've seen there's a very smurfy progress, Ariel, and, between us, I'd say: the greater the effort, the better the result. Just no need to rush. ![[Wink]](/ubb/wink.gif)

My smurfy pleasure. By the way, do you have a rolling pin or something that can flatten the clay? In case you need flattened parts (eg your Smurfette's skirt). ![[Smurfette]](/ubb/graemlins/smurfette.gif)
