Hey everysmurf... I...
I have some bad news...
Remember that clay figure I posted during the summer?? Well, something terrible happened to her, I don't know if it was simply the fact that she had to stay in a plastic grocery bag the entire time, or the fact that my mom and I were packing up and moving so often that she was badly damaged by the pressure of everything against her, but the end result is purely horrid. I might try to post a picture of how bad it is, but I don't know if I can bear to open that bag yet another time.

Just a suggestion, you can use an ice lolly stick to reinforce her head on the body. Don't get disheartened, I hope your Ariel shall get even smurfier! ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

It took me quite a bit of courage, but I have finally decided to begin the process of trying to rebuild my 3d model of Ariel...
I have taken out the "corpse" of Ariel 2.0, to see if there were any parts that I could salvage for the new figure. The scrapping process is proving to be just as difficult (if not, more) as I had expected, both physically and emotionally. My heart drops with every slice I make with the exacto-knife... Some of the colors are proving to be almost impossible to separate. The hands and hair are fused together to the body. I don't expect the Ariel 3.0 to be very big.
I will post more updates as soon as I can.

I have yet to finish the job of rebuilding the new Ariel figure... I think I will just wait until I have a better workspace to do it at.
As for my fanfic, I've been having a bad case of writer's block... I'm not quite sure as to when I will have a new chapter ready, but I promise, I have not forgotten about it. If anyone has any ideas for my fanfic, you can feel free to post them... I would post some Valentine's Day art... But I'm not sure how I would do with that. Personally I'm not very good at Valentine's Day stuff...

You can use air dry modelling clay (eg DAS), so you don't need any ceramic oven to get your works ready. ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

As of yesterday, I am now 19...
My time in the Smurf world has been limited... This is now merely a secret hobby of mine... But once I am on my own, it won't have to be a secret. You will see more of my work when this happens (hopefully soon, not that I'm not happy where I am,it's just a bit cramped for me) chapters will be longer and art will increase in quality. I don't have a definite deadline for this to happen, but I promise, change is definitely in the air I'm breathing! You guys are so amazing, and I hope to come back to the Smurf community a bit more fully in the next few years (or sooner!)
Til then, I will be brainstorming for great content to my fanfic. And hopefully getting some original works published!
Smurf life forever, and always,
Ariel B. <3
