Your first smurf was Hiker smurf too? Cool!! My Mum bought me him when I was 7?? years old or so...then I was hooked!! I had about 30 smurfs, the smurf house, smurf sheets, smurf mug from childhood. The others in my collection were gained just a few weeks ago!!! :-)

I gained another smurfy item this week...the book from the movie THE SMURFS AND THE MAGIC FLUTE! Yay!

I love collecting smurfs!! There is just so much out there!!!! And like you say..so little money haha!

I loved the Smurfs as a child too. I wish I still had all of my Smurfy Toys. The only thing I managed to hold on to was a Smurfette watch my mom had given me.

Aww that's sad! Have you ever forgiven your Mother or ? for making you give away/throw out your childhood smurfs??? I would KEEP reminding her hehehehe!! Pour on the guilt hehehe.

Thankfully my Mum had the foresight to tell me to hang on to my smurfs and smurf house because she thought.."they will be worth something some day"...how true that is!

Yes I have forgiven my Mom for giving my Smurfs away. Actually I had forgotten about them until about a year ago when I found some figures at a flea market. Now I am hooked all over again. I never realized how many smurf figures there were until I started collecting them. Even though I have lots of Smurfy toys now it would still be nice to have the Smurfs I had as a child.

Speaking of flea markets. I went to one this morning. I was about to give up, when I saw some smurfs up the back of one lady's stall. She had coin smurf, hamburger smurf and cowgirl smurfette (in better condition than mine). All smurfs were in A1 condition and $4 aussie each! (about $2 US) She told me she gets the new smurfs in too...and sells for only $6 aussie each!! I WILL BE BACK!!!!!!

I picked a fisher price farm house up for the kids for only $6 too...its looks like your typical American barn..real cute..with silo. They have been having fun playing with it.
