Hi. I just bought a used mushroom house dated 1976, red-and-white roof. I had to put it together myself, and I can't seem to get the roof on correctly. It just sits there without seeming to be attached or snapped on in any way. Is this correct? The one pictured on your site appears to have the roof sitting much higher than mine. Can you advise? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Seems like I can't add more than one picture per post. So bear with me.

Hmmmm, seems to me someone sold you a mismatch. see the little insert near the bush on the tree? The house has no insert slot. You could use them toghether, but i would consider replacing it.

and its not really an insert now that i see it, its one of those snap ins that a pain to get in, yet function as a hinge when done properly
