Update: The film will use elements from "The Smurfette" (Smurfette's introduction), "The Smurfs and the Magic Flute" (the magic flute and Johan and Peewit meeting the Smurfs), "The Flute Smurfers" (the flute's origin as seen if fashbacks), "The Clockwork Smurf" (Handy creates Clockwork Smurf in one scene) and the 2011 live-action film series (Patrick and Grace's appearance).

Here are some new characters:
Liam Malpas/Sweet Smurf Liam is a 15-year-old boy who get turned into a Smurf via a "Smurf transformation spell" by James Gargameo. He currently lives in Smurf village under the name Sweet Smurf.
Marlene Smurfette Marlene is a Smurfette of unknown origin. Some say she was magically created by the CGP, some say she's a human-turned-Smurf and some say that she was always a Smurf.

Update: Remember the Smurf bombing? Well, I combined that with the destruction of Home Tree from "Avatar", the destruction of the Smurfs in the video "Gargamel's Revenge" and the destruction of Cloud Cuckoo Land from "The Lego Movie" in order to give Smurf village a sad demise that'll fit into a James Cameron movie. However, Empath, Sweet Smurf, the would-be Smurflings, Smurfette, Marlene, the Project: Smurfatar recruits and a few others managed to escape.

Update: The original description for the realistic Smurf I posted earlier said "From a distance, Smurfs seem like they are wearing a hat and pants but as you can see this is a fallacy. The fungus provides camouflage and protective epidermal layers for the creature, while the creature provides nutrients and mobility for the spreading of spores."
I like the idea of the realistic Smurf but how they treat the clothes doesn't seen right. Instead, the Smurf clothes are made out of fungi in fabric form and sometimes wear hats made out of mushroom tops.
Otherwise, where would Smurfette hair grow from?

Challenge: I decide to make Clockwork Smurf a more advance robot so I changed "Clockwork" to a acronym but for what? Your challenge is to find the best words which go together to make the word "Clockwork"!

Photoshop Poster Challenge:
Here's how to do it:
1. Use the realistic Smurf earlier (but edit it a bit so it wearing actual clothes) and, from there, create a realistic-version of Sweet Smurf, the teenage version of the orignal Smurfette (or Smurfette III, Smurfette's teenage descendant, defending on the which concept your using) and three other Smurfs you want see in the movie (whenever your own characters, familar characters from other Smurf media or characters created by other Smurf fans)
2. Pick a picture of whichever actors you think should play Gargamel, Balthazar and the Smurfs' human allies (like Johan and Peewit, for example)
3. Pick a background which you think you should be used for the poster.
4. Put them all together along with a Avatar-style font for the title logo, the basic information you think should be used at the end of the film's trailer at the bottom, the tagline "They fight for freedom" and the released date
I'll decide which poster is the best!

Breaking Blue News! My script is almost finished! It has everything I would expect from a James Cameron-directed Smurfs movie:
1. A mixture of science fiction and fantasy (like "Avatar", for example)
2. A more advanced version of a certain, familar primative hunter/gatherer civilization (like what James Cameron was going to do with the apes in his unmade version of "Planet of the Apes")
Also, James Cameron isn't unfamilar with making comic book movies (I mean, he was planning on making a Spider-Man movie)

Update: Here's a quick look at the cast:
Liam Malpas/Sweet Smurf - me (since the character is based on me and my real name is used as Sweet Smurf's (former) human name)
Britney Gargameo/Smurfette - herself (at least, according to the actors user name)
I am also letting Bluebuddies into the project! If my script doesn't go well, you can write your own! Just remember to use my characters, keep what strong and add your own characters (as well as other people characters, if you want)

Idon't like a live action smurf movie. I don't like for actors to play the humans in the smurfs. It like bothers me. I won't be reading this form anymore. There's like to much stuff changing about the smurfs that I really like originally.

So you prefer the "modern generation" storyline?

I spend a month or two on real life and this is what I come back to?
We like the smurfs as actual smurfs, the way they are supposed to be. Not 'humanized'.
Ok, the current smurf movies applied a little human touch tot he characters, in regards to eyes, mouth, etc. It was ok. But even that seemed to detract a bit from the original feel of them.
This is, of course, my own opinion, and I could be wrong, but I do not think anybody would go see this.

Ok, I guess you haven't read the previous comments. VicGeorge said the realistic-looking looked like "a mutant cross between Azrael and a Smurf" and Smurfy1For2 and Sassette both said they liked the idea and will watch the film. I'll do a little more research, thank you!

Oh, and I didn't say anything about the Smurf being "humanized", the five-fingered hand bit came from the original version.

Also, here's an update on the plot of this film idea:
In the present day, Smurf village is destroyed, almost all the Smurfs are captured and tortured and Gargamel is finally the most powerful (and the most evil) wizard in the entire world. With an evil army of wizards at the helm, Gargamel has full control of the forest, searching for remaining Smurfs and trying to conquer the world. A small band of Smurfs must band together and reclaim their forest and save the world.
Seem dark, huh? Well, as I happen to know, communist have an enforced way of law and order - jail, torture and murder. I know that the Smurfs aren't communist and that the "Smurfs are communists" rumour was created by some who hates the Smurfs but, as you must know, the 2011 Sony live-action film was already a dark-and-gritty reboot of the Smurfs featuring a communist version of Gargamel. Don't believe me? Well, here's evidences:
1. In the 2011 live-action film, Gargamel said that being worshipped roles off his tongue (since many communist governments worship their leader blindly).
2. The film series itself show examples of the communist way of law and order: the cages in the first film (representing jail), the Smurfalator in the second film (representing torture) and Gargamels plan for "Total Smurfmageddon" (representing murder)
Therefore, in my case, the 2011 live-action film series were supporting the Tibetan cause. Agree?

Challenge: Okay, I need your help! I need you to come up with the best title idea for my pitch for a James Cameron-directed Smurfs live-action movie! The working title is "Smurfs: The Legend Re-Smurfs" but I want to see you come up with a better title after all, I'm letting BlueBuddies in on the project!

Update: I found this online:
The Smurfs Title Sequence
This was made for After Effects class. This is the beginning title sequence for The Smurfs Movie.
I was thinking of reusing a similar opening for the script... unless you have any better opening ideas then post them!

Okay, I got carried away. My real name isn't Liam Malpas. I was just daydreaming. I just choose the name because I wanted the character to be based on me (hence why he has my Smurf name) but I don't want to use my real name so I decided to use a name that also translates to Sweet Smurf. I experimented around to find a name that works on the Smurf Name Generator until I found one. So... Yeah! I am NOT called Liam Malpas.
