Topic: New Fanfic Ideas - The Last Time I Smurfed Paris, Walk Like a Penguin :)

Yesterday I came up with two new story ideas after I decided to put down $3.99 USD to watch "The Smurfs 2" on YouTube's movie streaming service, and here they are:
The Last Time I Smurfed Paris - I wonder how I got this idea? ![[Wink]](wink.gif) Papa Smurf and five of his little Smurfs (Smurfette, Vexy, Hackus, Jokey and Painter) return to the City of Lights for some artistic inspiration and smurfy fun. Rather than use smurportation crystals, they ride on Feathers the crane and fly through a magic cloud. They set up camp in a corner of the Eiffel Tower and Feathers nests nearby.
This would be a crossover with Benny Breakiron (aka Steve Strong), another Peyo character. So far the plotline looks like that Benny and the Smurfs (please, no Elton John jokes) ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) meet by chance while he is on a field trip with his school to the Louvre. Lady d'Olphine, the robot double gone bad, is hatching a sinister plot to remove Benny's superhuman strength by making him catch an allergy that renders him forever sneezing, mimicking the colds that make him powerless. Smurfs to the rescue: Vexy has an allergy to plumerias, which cause her skin to break out in a rash, turn different colors and even turn invisible (no color at all). That last allergic reaction actually comes in handy in rescuing Benny.
Walk Like a Penguin - inspired by "No Reflection on Vanity" from the much-hated time-traveling final season of the TV series. Nanny Smurf has a very unsmurfy headache that just won't go away, and it's keeping her in bed. Papa has a remedy to cure his dear Mama Smurf, but he needs a certain leafy liverwort to make the medicine, and it doesn't grow in the Smurf Forest. It only grows on the Antarctic Peninsula. A quick trip to Forbidden Falls and few smurfportation crystals later, Papa and a few other Smurfs are off to the bottom of the world and collect the liverworts. Vexy and Grandpa stay behind to tend to Nanny.
While they are searching for the liverwort fields, Vanity starts arguing with Smurfette over whose parka is the better looking and complains the super-cold climate is bad for his skin and making him sweat under layers of clothing. He throws a fit and half the crystals fall down a steep cliff. Now he has to retrieve those crystals or the Smurfs will be stuck in Antarctica and freeze into little blue Smurfsicles.
It just so happens that a colony of penguins is in the same area, and one of them helps Vanity get the crystals back, while his family circles around the other Smurfs and hugs them to keep them warm. Vanity gets the crystals, Papa bags a large amount of liverworts, and all is smurfy.
After smurfporting back home, Papa makes the medicine which makes Nanny well. But now all the Smurfs have to deal with an unexpected guest: the penguin that helped Vanity grabbed and hugged him good-bye just as they were zapping back to the village, and Vanity's crystal did a little two-for-one. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
What do you think of these ideas? Keep in mind that not all these outlines will become actual stories, it's just a discipline I learned in college to keep my creative juices flowing. Similar to a story session where writers for a TV series bounce off ideas for new episodes.

i love them both. especially the second with the penguins. it sounds sooo cute! although i love the idea of Vexy going invisible and saving the day too!

Glad you like them both, Amy! Vexy turning invisible is part of her plumeria allergy. She changes colors, or disappears, whenever she sneezes. Another sneeze makes her reappear in a different color. Worse yet, going invisible isn't all that smurfy because she keeps tripping over her boots and the next sneeze will bring her back. She hates it, but it's part of her allergy to plumerias.
The cure for her allergy is to eat a mango. Doing so instantly takes it away and makes her blue again. Back home in Smurf Village she keeps a jar of preserved mangoes for such an emergency. Too bad she didn't bring them with her to Paris.

I totes agree! I mean, I know you posted this like two years ago, but did you ever make the paris one a reality? Because it sounds amazing!
