Hi Squeaky!

It does come from the 1980s. You don't see many around these days because it was the kind of toy that was used up (ie. colored) and then thrown away.

Venus Paradise Smurf Super Set - Color by Number Set

This is a fun color-by-number set! And you really do color by the number... the pencils are all marked with the corresponding numbers that are on the pictures. The set originally came with 10 sheets (coloring sheets), 12 colored pencils and 1 special pencil sharpener. (I'm not sure what was special about the sharpener?) The box also says, "no water, no brushes, no mess"!

This coloring sheet shows the Smurfs busy at work building a mushroom house. That poor little Smurf building the brick chimney is really working up a sweat!!!
