The strange thing about the story in the end is that Gargamel doesn't even go after the Smurfs after Bigmouth is cured and leaves. He's just pounding the walls, weeping and vowing revenge, most likely because his efforts as a sorcerer to cure Bigmouth have been proven ineffective while Papa Smurf's simple cure of a sarsaparilla leaf was the most effective. So it isn't about Gargamel getting shrunk to Smurf size in "The Smurfnapper" that makes him want to get revenge on the Smurfs, but rather the fact that Papa Smurf is a better sorcerer than him.

I think he was so frustrated over his exhaustive tries to cure Bigmouth after Papa Smurf's simple intervention that he didn't even care about chasing the Smurfs again. [Smile] [Gargamel]
And before I forget: thanks much for sharing, Vic, it was the first time ever I read this Smurf comic - just because it hadn't been launched in Brazil. [Big Grin]
