I just bought a Blu Ray DVD player so I can watch the special which isn't included on the one disc DVD format.

Well, I've seen the smurfs movie in theaters, It is the mini-movie I haven't seen.

I know from watching the trailers that the movie has both of them because Grouchy gets a spell put on him called the "Christmas Spirt Potion" and that makes everything cartoon. I only heard that from the trailers.

It's just like in Kung Fu Panda: KFP1 began with a dream sequence in 2D animation, and ended with end credits in the same 2D animation. I think I agree with Jokie, Animator. But this special short uses 2 different mediums to show the 3D world, and the 2D world in Grouchy's dream.

i loved it.....and it was a neat idea.....but i think they should have stuck with cg because to be honest their cartoon smurfs were slightly disappointing.....

I haven't seen it yet, please don't spoil the mini-movie too much even though from hearing about, I know mainly what it's about. I have seen a million versions of the story A Christmas Carol but I bet this will be my favorite one.
