How do ink marks on the bottom of the smurf figures affect their value? How much would the value be reduced if a figure had ink marks?

Hi, DGD, smurfy welcome! Well, I think it depends on the ink size marks. Take a look at this link, you can see much information in it. ![[Happy Smurf]](graemlins/Happy_Smurf.gif)

Thanks for the first reply and the link. I read the section. Some of my smurfs have ink marks (in the form of initials) on the bottoms of their feet. I actually wrote on them as a kid to avoid my smurfs getting smurf-napped by my friends. How much would that detract from their value? Is it worth it to try and remove them using "Remove Zit"?

A few collectors have written on the bottom of their figures. I have seen it from time to time. It can affect value but only because the Smurf is no longer "mint". It is very hard to get a "mint" Smurf figure.
Smurfs that are perfectly painted and have no scuff marks are considered mint. They should also not have overly visible mold lines or even tiny manufacturing defects. They have to look pretty much perfect. So unless you're trying to collect mint Smurfs, I don't think ink on the bottom of the feet matters too much.
If you want to clean your Smurfs this link might help.
