Cool Vic George! It wouldnt play for me before but now it works. Very relaxing. I think it would work up-tempo too!!! Sounds like the right music for an Asian inspired level on a Smurf video game.

Just some notes on the song:
1. It was inspired by "Just When I Needed You Most" by Randy VanWarmer and was intended to sound similar to that song.
2. I was toying with the idea of an up-tempo version of the song, but given its lyrical content (it's basically Empath's thoughts addressed to Papa Smurf lamenting how his life turned out different from his fellow Smurfs' due to being separated from them), I think it would destroy the intended purpose of the song to make it up-tempo.
3. The Smurf song appears in parts in two places in this song. For the second draft version, I wasn't intending to close it out using an electric guitar playing out the second half of the Smurf song, but Mario Paint Composer doesn't have much choices as far as musical instrument selection, so I had to improvise.
"Asian-inspired level on a Smurf video game" Hmmm...interesting thought.

There's another slight revision of the song I've posted on my website on the Empath novel front page.

One can feel the song shows both his sorrowful and resigned feelings, Vic. And the added Smurfs la-la song excerpt also emphasizes them. Nice work!!
