When did the Smurfs show go wrong? All the shows I watch on TV are great pretty much. But the episode guide looks like it has some duds in it. Do they only show the good epsidoes on tv, and are the rest bad? Or has boomerang just not got around to showing the last seasons for another reason?
Makes you think!!

It seemed like the introduction of the Smurflings was the beginning of the end, at least for the cartoon series, with the time-travelling episodes being the final nail in the coffin -- more so in that case since cartoons that tend to have goal-oriented plots tend not to last long enough to reach its goal before getting cancelled. I didn't find myself watching the cartoon show much after 1987's introduction of Wild Smurf.
