OK, so if Smurfette wasn't created episode 1-29, The Smurfette, why does she appear in the very first episode, The Abominable Snowbeast??

I am sure that could be an error...
Personally if you were to look at the animation and drawings the episode when Smurfette is introduced appears not as smooth as the later episodes.
I'm going to take a guess and say that the introduction of Smurfette is one of the first episodes and the Abominable Snowbeast episode could be just after it.
Well, anyway...hopefully for the new movie lets hope the story line will be a little more organized
Take Care, and Happy 2006! Raven Child.

The episodes for the most part aren't listed in chronological order in the episode guides, so it's possible that "The Smurfette" could have been one of the first episodes aired during its original first-season 60-minute run. Given that I haven't started seeing this show until around 1982, I can't really be sure. Then again, it could have made its first airing a few shows later, making it more of a flashback episode like the Teen Titans' "Go!" episode that recently aired. There were seasons in which previously-aired episodes were intermingled with current ones, probably even during the time when the show was later shown in its current 30-minute syndicated format with editing and time compression going on. So as far as a really defined chronology of events that took place in the Smurfs cartoon universe, it would be a logistical headache outside of acknowledging the major ones that took place seasonally.

episodes on tv.com are in absolutely incorrect order... Let's look: Season 1- "The Smurfette" must be the first episode, but is only 31th Season 4- "Blue Eyes Returns" comes faster than "A little orange horse with gold shoes" (where Smurfette first meets Blue Eyes) . Season 5- Absolutely no order First should be "Smurflings", second- "Sasette" and third "Puppy" Season 6- Gargamel first meets Scruple in "The Enchanted Quill", NOT in "Gargamel's new job" !!!!
