Johan and Peewit in "Search for the Christmas Emeralds"
----

Plot Summary: When the Good King receives an urgent message from King Gerard, he summons Johan and Peewit to the castle. Gerard's prized Christmas Emeralds—two mystical stones, one red and one green, that grant magical protection to his kingdom—have vanished. The theft has left Gerard’s kingdom vulnerable to dark forces, and with Christmas approaching, time is running out to recover the emeralds.

Johan and Peewit journey to Gerard’s castle to investigate. They learn that the emeralds were last seen during a ceremony in the Great Hall before mysteriously vanishing overnight. Clues lead them to rumors of a mysterious figure known as the Christmas Stranger (returning from "The Smurfs Christmas Special"), a shadowy traveler who was seen near the castle the night of the theft.

The duo follows the trail through snow-covered forests and icy mountains, uncovering cryptic clues and encountering eccentric locals who whisper tales of the Stranger's magical tricks. Along the way, they face traps, puzzles, and magical illusions designed to throw them off track.

Eventually, Johan and Peewit discover that the Christmas Stranger is indeed the thief. The Stranger reveals he intended to use the emeralds’ power to create eternal winter, believing it would force people to focus on the joy of Christmas forever. Johan challenges the Stranger’s plan, explaining that true Christmas joy comes from unity and kindness, not forced magic.

With quick thinking and teamwork, Johan and Peewit outwit the Stranger, reclaim the emeralds, and return them to King Gerard. As the emeralds are restored to their rightful place, a warm glow blankets the land, symbolizing peace and protection for the kingdom once more.

The story ends with a grand Christmas feast at Gerard’s castle, where Johan and Peewit are honored for their bravery and cleverness. The Stranger, moved by their selflessness, disappears into the night, promising to find a better way to celebrate Christmas.

The episode begins at the Good King's castle; the people are getting ready for Christmas by decorating the interior of said castle.

Meanwhile, Johan is decorating the Christmas Tree. He appears to have set up the silver tinsel.

Johan: Peewit, do you have the ornaments?

Peewit: I got 'em right here! (enters into frame, juggling six ornaments)

Peewit then tossed the ornaments one by one, with Johan catching them one by one and hanging each up on the tree in pure succession; the tree is fully set, all except for the Star on top.

Johan: All we need is a star.

Peewit: (looks through the box) But, where did it go?

Peewit: There it is!

Johan: And it's saved by the Smurfs, no doubt.
