Hey guys what's up? Before you get confused over what I am going to be talking about in this thread, the name of the thread may sound like I am making a botched insult to Sony, but it is actually no where near an insult. It is actually a bit of a tribute to Sony as I have liked their PlayStation series all the way from PS1, PS2 and PS3! I have heard that a PS4 is going to be released later this year in October worldwide, but on May in Japan only. It's going to be 256-bit while the PS3 was 128-bit, the PS2 was 64-bit and the PS1 was glorious 32-bit which has been vintage up to this date. When it comes to the PlayStation's release dates, I have found out that a new PlayStation is released exactly every 6 years, since the PS1 in 1994! If there was a PS0 back in the day, my best predictions are that it would be released in 1988, and it would be a 16-bit console which ALSO used the disk system just like the others! The graphics resolution would be 256x224 and 64 colors could be used at once out of a 32768 color palette. The polygon system would probably not exist although it has since the PS1 in PlayStation's history, but then again PS0 would be 16-bit so it would kind of be a competitor to Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16 and Super Nintendo along with all the other competitors of 16-bit. 2727 sprites is the limit on the game, and they could have up to 16 colors. For the sound hardware, I've decided to somewhat divide what was used for the PS1 and got those results: 11.025 KHZ ADPCM samples up to 256KB, 12 voice polyphony with 8 octaves. So almost like the .MODs on the MS-DOS SoundBlaster card, and the Commodore Amiga sound hardware. The system's CPU (microchip) would be the 32-bit A2000, and will have 1 MB RAM and 512 KB ROM. Those are my predictions of the PS0's specifications, inspired by the latter PS1, PS2 and PS3 (mainly the PS1).
What do you think?

Truth to tell, the Playstation originally WAS intended to be a combined Super NES with CD-ROM accessory for that system and was developed toward that end, until Sony realized that Nintendo was double-dealing with Philips to have the CD-ROM accessory be CD-i compatible, which basically resulted in Philips publishing Hotel Maro and the three CD-i Zelda games. That's how the original Playstation came about, as Sony's big "smurf you, Nintendo!"

Okay? I don't understand this discussion.

It's just a brief history of the PlayStation series. A little bit about the upcoming of the PlayStation 4, and my ideas of what a PlayStation 0 would be like.

PlayStation 0 would have been awesome, ever since 1988 my made up date with decent hardware, decent sound.
If it existed though, if it existed. I'm not actually going to plagiarize Sony on a future careers because then I would just get sued! I will probably just add a fan video of it about the other PlayStations and it would be about if there ever existed a PlayStation 0. But there will be a disclaimer before to Sony that it was not meant to make fun of the corporation.
If you want me to make any art on what the PlayStation 0 console would look like, sure I can make some!

Thanks, I'll start on this! And Smurfette, I'm not going to rat out on anyone else, plus I say and think that many (as in more than one or two) artists here are the best!
