Available on Facebook, Ubisoft’s The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound is a free-to-play Adobe Flash game in the style of FarmVille. It is the direct sequel to The Smurfs & Co from 2011 and offers optional in-app purchases for accelerated gameplay.
Gargamel’s spell explodes in his face! The result? A magical storm of epic proportions ripping through the Smurf Village, turning everything it touches—Smurfs, homes, everything—into solid stone! A desperate race against time is about to begin!
Only one Smurf (you) is left to overcome Gargamel’s plot. You must now break the spell, uncurse the Smurfs, and rebuild the Village. Get to work restoring houses and workshops and help Papa Smurf and the other Smurfs!
Key Tasks:- Free the Smurfs: Help get the Smurfs out by doing quests and let them work with you.
- Animal Friends: Take care of animals you see passing by.
- Decorate Your Village: Adorn your village with colorful decorations, construct roads, harvest crops, and much more!

Understanding Gems, XP, and More in The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound
In The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound, players manage resources and progress through gameplay using several key elements:
Gems: The Premium Currency
Gems are the premium currency in the game, obtainable primarily through real-money purchases. However, they can also be earned, but earned gems tend to be a low number that isn't enough to purchase an item. Some tasks need gems or friends to make them happen. Gems serve multiple functions:- Purchasing Resources: Gems can be exchanged for Blue Favors, Red Favors, Smurfiness, and energy.
- Buying Additional Items: Gems allow access to various additional items that assist the player in gameplay.
- Energy Replenishment: Players can use gems to instantly replenish their energy when it runs out, bypassing the waiting time.
- Buy a Smurf Spin: If the player gets to move up a level, they get one free spin but more spins can be bought with gems.
XP (Experience Points) and Leveling Up
XP stars accumulate as players complete tasks, increasing their overall level. Leveling up provides benefits:- Access to New Content: Leveling up unlock new buildings, decorations, and other content, expanding gameplay options.
- Free Smurf Spin: When a player gets to move up a level they get one free spin on which they can win things but further spins have to be bought by gems.
Additional In-Game Elements- Blue Favors: These are one of the first resources players begin with.
- Red Favors: Red and Blue Favors can be bought with Gems.
- Energy: Players use energy for certain things and it replenishes over time.
- Smurfiness: Can be bought with gems.
Although The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound is aimed at everyone, Facebook account holders are technically required to be over thirteen years old.
Smurfs & Co: Spellbound was taken offline on November 17, 2015. Players were given a parting gift of 10,000 Gems as a special thank-you to enjoy during the game's final month.

Has anybody tried to rebuild the game ? or finding original game files like swf files to make a playable version of it ?
I tried searching all across even in the internet archive, but nothing found
Is there a way to somehow play this game again?

Adam64, your idea is plausible. You definitely need the swf client files. But a server would have to be created to actually play the game.
The first step is to find someone who has captured network traffic between The Smurfs & Co: Spellbound and the now defunct Ubisoft server. It is possible. Something like this was done to resurrect the Wii's Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (WFC). Captured network traffic was used to recreate WFC, successfully relaunched as "Wiimmfi".
It may be technically possible to reverse engineer the server without captured data, but it could prove to be very difficult.

Dear Peazjelly,
I want you to know that I have searched a lot, and I can say you’re right. The only way to find anything is by contacting someone who has played the game and still has valid information or any files. The main problem is that this game didn’t last long, so it’s hard to find players easily.
Personally, I have played the game, and it was a part of my childhood, so I’m convinced the only way to play it again is by rebuilding it from scratch (almost). I think, with the amount of photos, videos, and information from the wiki and this and other websites, it’s kind of possible to rebuild the game with the help of AI.
As for the server, I think it’s possible to host it on any client and maybe make it both online and offline. However, it will take a lot of work, but I think it’s worth it. Actually, I have made some progress, but it’s still very basic.
I’m curious, how did you come across some of the information you mentioned? Because I’ve searched quite a bit and couldn’t find some of those details, so it would be great if you could point me to your sources or files.

I figured this out through necessity. I encountered a few Flash games I wanted to play that required network access (to do basic telemetry) before the game started. However, the domains in question no longer exist, and the game hangs. So to fix games like this, in most cases all you need to do is use a Flash decompiler, find the code that tries to do network access, and comment it out. Easy.
In one case I had to manually set a server response to make the game proceed. I guessed the response the game needed. Anyone could have figured that out with trial and error.
But what if Smurfs & Co. requires something more obtuse? What if the intended server responses are a set of unknown hex data and weird parameters or something like that? I'm going to assume Smurfs & Co. is going to require a ton of traffic analysis for all the game functions.
That's why you need captures of network data - to learn what the game is looking for, and to glean what all the traffic really means. Even in this "best case scenario", like what the developers at Wiimmfi experienced, there are still aspects of the Wii Nintendo server that remain unsolved, and it was an absolutely huge undertaking for all of them that continues to this day.
Without the network traffic capture, you're just guessing, but perhaps someone can figure it out.
But before anything can even begin, you need to find someone who downloaded all the Smurfs & Co. Flash game files. Sometimes a game is just a .swf file. Complex games are usually many files though. You need a good Flash decompiler. Just keep trying different ones to see what works. You'll also need a Flash emulator like Ruffle to actually run the game in a browser. Then the hard stuff begins, analyzing how the game works and what it expects from the (now non-existent) server.
This could be a very time consuming project but would be rewarding because you loved the game. The local (offline) version of the game sounds like a good place to start. Please let me know how it's going.
