The Nintendo Wii Drawsome Tablet and Drawsome Artist Featuring the Smurfs
In 2011, Ubisoft released a special drawing accessory for Nintendo Wii called the Drawsome Tablet. It comes with two games, the Smurf themed Drawsome Artist and Drawsome Sketch Quest. The Drawsome Tablet itself is a large, plastic surface that you put your Wii Remote on to make drawing easy and fun. The tablet gives users a big area to draw on and room to get creative.
The Hardware: The Drawsome Tablet
- How It Works: You slot your existing Wii Remote into a space on the tablet. The tablet helps the Wii Remote track your movements as you draw on it with a stylus.
- Stylus Included: The package comes with a special, wireless stylus that is easy for kids to hold.
- No Power Needed: The tablet doesn't need batteries or plugging in. It simply relies on the Wii Remote to work.
The Drawsome Tablet features a large 8.5" screen that allows for unrestricted drawing movements and features an innovative transparency layer that covers the drawing area, so players can trace their favorite images. Everything drawn on the tablet is displayed in real time on a home television. Using an SD card, users are able to easily share their masterpieces with friends and family.
The Software: Drawsome Artist Smurfs Edition
To use the tablet, you need the Drawsome! Artist game. Drawsome Artist for the Nintendo Wii is special because it has lots of Smurf-themed things to do!
- Drawing Basics: The game has tools like pencils, paintbrushes, and erasers.
- Smurf-Tastic Drawing Modes:
- Free Draw: Just draw whatever you want!
- Coloring Book: Color in the pre-made Smurf pictures.
