Thank you to Sarsaparilla Smurf for the overwhelming support of the first part of my story. I'm honored and very flattered! I hope everysmurf enjoys part 2!
Rebel slowly opened his eyes, watching the sun's rays paint the forest floor. He sat up and, after a yawn, quietly spoke to Willow. "Thanks again, I really appreciate it," he said. Willow happily purred in reply as she stretched, careful not to hit the ceiling of the tent. Rebel got to his feet and peered outside. "Looks like the snow stopped," he commented. Without a sound Willow exited the tent and Rebel watched as she made perfect paw prints in the fresh snow. Rebel followed close behind and took in his surroundings. Hearing the morning birds sing, watching the soft colors of the sunrise, feeling the cold snow under his feet. Then suddenly, a loud noise pierced the calm forest. It sounded like... a trumpet? Whomever was playing it clearly wasn't very skilled, but in any case, he presumed that it was the waking call for the smurfs. Rebel thought he set up his camp far away enough from the village to be undetected. Now he wasn't so sure. Rebel began to panic. He felt as though he wasn't welcome in the village because of how he came to be. He can't face them OR gargamel at this point. Rebel was best off being alone. "Y'know what, Willow?" He muttered. "I think I should stay home today." END
