Hi, I am new to the group, hello!
I am curious on how best to clean a Smurf bought second hand. Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks, Kim

Good advice in that article, Squeaky.
Kimmarr, I like to use a soft dusting cloth on my smurfs to remove the dust. But I know that doesn't help too much if your smurfs are really grimy, yellowed, etc.
By the way, welcome to Bluebuddies, Kimmarr! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

No problem, Kim! Thanks, Century and smurfy nice to see you here again! Besides using little soap and much water, I usually use cotton swabs to clean up (in a soft way) some details of theirs, eg eyes and inside the ears.

As for the mild soap, you might want to use Goop. You get it at Menards in this blue and white (of course!) plastic can for under $5 USD. It's amazing at getting engine oil off your hands and clothes too!
Just rub your smurf with Goop (before getting it wet) and gently wipe it off (again before getting it wet). I know a guy who uses it to clean his Cessna airplane.

Be careful with Goop, because it also removes oil-based paint very quickly. You may want to test it on a hidden spot first.
