Hi, have about 50 vintage smurfs to sell and just ran across the very rare gold cord wreath smurf. He is in great shape, still has his original cord and all, just a pin head sized rub on his nose and tail, nothing major. can anyone give me an idea of what this guy is worth, and is anyone interested? Many thanks, Amanda

Hi, Amanda, welcome!! Your Smurf is a Christmas one (#5.1096) and very rare, too. You can take a look at this Christmas Smurf Checklist and see his value. Even though he's got a small rub you might get a very good price anyway. Smurfy luck!

Thanks very much, I had seen them valued at $200 plus, but getting that kind of $ for him is another thing altogether. I have had some smurfly luck in the past year, though, bought an anniversary smurf on a cloud base for a dime and got a great price for it on ebay. I have checked ebay though and the last wreath smurf sold for around $20, not willing to part with him that cheaply, thought maybe someone from around here would be willing to pay a fair price. Happy Smurfing, Amanda

The problem with this smurf is that there are many fakes around. The real ones are worth indeed around 200 dollar. If you can determine for sure it's not a fake (perhaps by checking here: http://www.interfool.at/schluuumpf/falsch_kranz.html ), you will most likely able to sell it for that. I'm actually still looking for that smurf, but with all those fakes around, I'm hesitant.

HI Snooty, I would guarantee this is not a fake, it was my husband's when he was a kid, they had a few of the xmas ones but this seems to be the only one still kicking around. If you are interested, let me know, many thanks, Amanda
