It was requested that I upload the episode of Sweepy Smurf, so I did. For those of you who have not seen this episode or have not seen it in a long time you are in for a treat. This is the best episode as far as I'm concerned, one of them anyway. Just wish it wasn't the only one that featured Sweepy, but oh well. With all these other artists and fan fiction writers here I doubt this will be the last of him.
Like I mentioned in the other thread this character won my heart right away. I felt a lot of sympathy for him because of the way he was treated by the other Smurfs and it just kind of struck me a certain way. It was fall of 1986 when I first saw this episode and I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole rest of that day. I caught it on tape a few months later because I had been watching out for the rerun of it since that first time. Was so happy when I finally got it on tape. I no longer have that tape, but managed to record it off of Cartoon Network back in 2002 and then most recently download it so that I can have it in digital form without capturing my tape.
All in all, this is a very cute episode with a good lesson.
Here's the link, enjoy and let me know what you think.

Sure, no problem. Quite a fun episode to watch, eh? Do you remember ever seeing this one before? Sweepy sure seems like a very cheerful and happy Smurf. Especially despite all the rudeness he had to put up with. He certainly loves what he does, he's so obsessed with chimneys that he has several of them on his house. LOL... Did you catch that?
Can't wait to see your version of Sweepy in fanart and fanfiction, looking forward to it.

From one of my Reporter's Inside Stories articles:
Reporter: What about your cousin Sweepy? Do you feel he smurfs too little recognition for what he smurfs in the village, smurfing out the soot in those chimneys?
Sloppy: He smurfs off as a little too smurfless for me. He doesn't even ask his fellow Smurfs to leave their houses whenever he has to smurf his job, and he uses that tool of his to pole-vault his way up to their chimneys. Tidy particularly hates Sweepy because his clean white clothes get all dirty! (Laughs.) Then again, he did rescue Baby Smurf when he was trapped in Greedy's kitchen that time when it smurfed on fire. That alone deserves some respect and recognition from me. I just hope that I don't have to rescue Baby Smurf from being smurfed under a big pile of garbage, though.

Take Care, though...
I saw that episode too, and I think the multiple chimneys in his house are for practice, similar to the tower at a fire department training facility. He probably only uses one of them for a fireplace.

This episode is so adorable. It's so nice to see him deservedly treated as a hero after he saved Baby Smurf. I really wish Sweepy had appeared in Smurf episodes more often. ![[Frown]](frown.gif)
