The Smurfs 9 Seasons on DVD in the US Hello, I would and millions of other Smurf fans would like to see the 9 Seasons of "The Smurfs" on DVD. "The Smurfs" movie is coming out 2008. So what a great time to bring out the 9 Seasons on DVD. I was thinking early 2007 to bring out Season 1. Then bring out other seasons every 2-3 months. This gives a year to watch some seasons before the first of three movies comes out. Plus having some DVD's out before the movie comes out. Gives kids that were born later then 1990. I chance to watch "The Smurfs". I think it's a great idea and so do many other people. Ask any Smurf fan. Please tell me what you people think. Us Smurfs fans are hoping for early 2007 for Season 1.

Let's all work together and help bring "The Smurfs" 9 seasons to DVD as soon as possable. Let's call/email Warner Bros. or Hanna-Barbera. We need to keep on them. Keep people update on any news from these companys. Look on the internet for phone numbers and e-mail address for these to companys. I'm hoping for January 2007 for Season 1. One year before "The Smurfs" come out on the BIG SCREEN.
We can do this Smurf fans. Let's do all we can.

421 Episodes - 414 regular shows and 7 specials. That's is a lot of episodes. That's a lot of DVD's. That's a lot of Smurf parties. I hope that they make 9 nice looking season box sets. Some episodes are only 15 minutes long. But when they were shown on NBC they combined the two 15 minutes shows. Any guess from anyone if there going to do the same when they make the DVD's? Or are they going to spitate them all up and have 421 sprite episodes for each season?

It would be a dream if there is an official release of the Smurf DVD in the United States. But if you've seen the strange editing and video re-work done on the Australian release you may not be impressed. It looks like someone, like an inexpensive French animation studio, did some serious video "touch-ups" to the original animation. In particular, the eyes seem to have been modified in some sequences and it just doesn't look right.
I want the US Smurf DVD to be just like the original TV show - no smurfing around!

Yes, I've heard bad things about the Australian release too. But I'm not to werried. See, we live in the U.S. We always get the BEST of the BEST in things. Warner Bros. will make The Smurfs" look like the original animation toon back in the 80's on NBC. Everything will work out.

I really don`t know when the 1st season will come out, but from what i`ve heard the second season of "The Smurfs" is already on DVD in Germany. I saw an advertisment on "Super RTL" the german TV station. "The Smurfs" are broadcasted there from monday to friday, and after every show that advertisment is broadcasted.

I only hope that your efforts to have all of the nine seasons will be rewarded by holding all season boxes in your hands and enjoy watching them on your TV or computer screens. Good luck to you all.

So has anyone else call Warner Bros. and ask them about the seasons of "The Smurfs" coming out on DVD in the U.S. We all need to call them every day. We need to keep reminding them that it is important that they get these 9 seasons out to millions of Smurf fans. Just keep telling Warner Bros. that it will be a "Big Hit" when the first season comes out. We need to tell Warner bros. that this is a big deal and will makes them millions of dollars. So Smurf fans get on the phone or e-mail them.
